Mokume-Gane (pronounced moe-koo-may-GAHN-ay)

Jazz

Mokume-Gane is a metal that looks much like Damascus steel. the Random, Raindrop, diamond, and the Jazz are 21 layers of alternating sterling silver, and Mokume-Gane copper or brass with a sterling back. The Ladder style is 27 layers and patterened on both sides. Each piece is handworked and comes in 18 and 24 gauge. They are sold in whole inches 1x1 inch being the minimum and 3x12 inches is the maximum. Since they are handworked each piece is unique.

18 gauge is $12.51 per square inch

24 gauge is $6.27 per square inch

There is also the choice of having me work the metal which would make it a little cheaper, but I do not know their techniques so I cannot replicate the patterns above without a little studying, but it is too expensive for me to just buy sheets and practice, unless I can find a cheaper source. 1x1 inch is the minimum, 3x12 is the maximum. These pieces are 27 layers.

1/4 inch thick Copper/Brass is $13.20 per square inch

1/8 inch thick Copper/Brass is $6.37 per square inch

1/8 inch thick Sterling/Copper is $19.09 per square inch

14 gauge Copper/Brass is $3.19 per square inch

14 gauge Sterling/Copper is $9.61 per square inch
