88% copper, and 12% zinc

Melting point- 1750°F ( 954°C)

Specific gravity-8.5

 

Nu gold is a metal that is much like brass, in fact it is almost the same thing, it's just a slightly different alloy mixture. It is a good substitute for gold, it has the same color, is harder and cheaper. If it is soldered the silver solder may show through on it, although I will try to get all of it off in areas it shouldn't be on. There is also gold solder available but it is more expensive because it is made with real gold in it.
