Enough Nick Dissing
Hey Backstreet Fans. I bet you're asking yourself "what is this page about and what does she mean by 'Enough Nick Dissing'"...well, I'm going to tell you. On Monday October 4, 1999, I attended my first ever BSB concert and it was awesome!! The next day in the local newspaper, an article was printed in the 'Music Review' section about the concert. The review was by the writer's daughter who had attended the concert the night before. There was something in the article that made me very mad. It said:
"The aerial flight over the audience was cool but revealed that band member Nick Carter is not in the best physical condition. She wondered if Nick should spend a little more time in the gym before he flies over crowds in a tight harness.(I wondered if she noticed that the band's website -- www.backstreetboys.com -- lists 'video games' as one of Nick's favorite pastimes, and 'McDonald's and pizza' as his favorite food.)"
That opinion was really very un-called for. The review was supposed to be about a concert...not about Nick's appearance. What if Nick saw that or if he heard about it, can you imagine how it would make him feel?? Like before when asked about his weight he told of how he was in a chatroom and people were making jokes about him and when he told the interviewer that he got emotional. Nick is a human just like the rest of us even though people seem to forget that because of his fame. Words still hurt. (and might I add that Nick looked VERY VERY good at the concert and I will never forget that night ever) One question, even if the boys didn't look so good, would you still like them?? If you answered 'YES' then I consider you a true fan.
**Because of these reasons and more I have started a campaign against making fun of Nick. I love the Backstreet Boys and I dont like seeing any of them being hurt.
