As I walked into the room, In the still of the night,
I could hear my Momma praying, her words so clear and bright,
She said Lord please save my children, I've tried to raise them everyone,
Trying hard just to teach them, of the Father and the Son.

And if the Father said today, "Go bring my children home",
I can't help but wonder, would they be left here all alone,
God you know a Mothers love, how it hurts so much inside,
So I'll leave it in your hands, I don't want them left behind.

So quietly I said Momma, I just heard your prayer,
And the words were so beautiful, I know God heard you up there,
And Momma I must let you know, when you asked guidance from above,
I asked God to forgive me, and he filled me with his love.

Momma, you don't have to wonder, I'm ready now to go,
And I know a Mothers love, how it hurts so much inside,
Now I gave my heart to Jesus, I won't be left behind.

Now I know my Fathers love, He lives inside this heart of mine,
