Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (CLICK ON TITLE TO HEAR SONG) SON EVERYTHING IS ALL RIGHT by Harlan Burton Dad was suffering every day, And each night when darkness came, I'd pull my chair close to his bed. And in the night when he'd awake, He'd be confused and so afraid, I can still hear the words Dad would say... He'd say, "Are you there son? Are you there son?" I'd say "Yes, Dad." And take his trembling hands in mine. It always touched my soul. He'd say, "I'm glad you didn't go, Son, everything is all right." Then he'd sleep for awhile, but in my mind I'd go back across many miles, To those days long ago when I was just a little child. Sometimes I'd wake in the darkest night, But Dad would be there by my side, And say, "Son, everything is all right." And then one night I heard him pray, "Father, can I come home today? Lord you know I'm not afraid anymore to die." And as I held his trembling hands in mine, I heard him say it one more time, "Son, everything is all right." He'd say, "Are you there son? Are you there son?" I'd say "Yes, Dad." And take his trembling hands in mine. It always touched my soul. He'd say, "I'm glad you didn't go, Son, everything is all right." On a hill far away, I can hear the Savior say, "O, it is finished," as he bowed his head and died. Oh, but there's another sound; A voice that has no earthly utterance: "Son, everything is all right." |
