HE FILLED MY CUP

This old world in which I'm living,
It sure paints a bloody time;
Of all the values and all the sad news,
You know it don't seem right.

But I don't need to worry about it,
For I know my robe is white;
For when I opened up my heart,
He filled my cup.

I thank my God he gave his Son to die for me on Calvary's tree,
My empty heart was filled with love He freely gave to me;
So every time I kneel to pray I think of where I've been,
And thank the Lord, He filled my cup.

Before I went to Calvary I just lived for human pride,
With my fantasies and my vanities and all my evil lies;
I can't see why Jesus loves me but I'm so glad he does,
For when I opened up my heart, He filled my cup.
