Oh Sweet Rose
This is a beautiful place, full of love and memories; To some it’s uncomfortable, to me...I love the space.
The colors, here, are so bold; the flowers, marble, and granite- Things which come when it’s time...regardless of how old.
It’s so quiet in this empty garden even though it’s filled with people; Such places can drive you crazy...make a heart harden.
It can be weeks since the rain, but when I walk through this gate The ground always seems soaked...tears of pain.
I sit here, silently by her side; the tears fall and the rose shakes In my hand, I can finally let it go here...I don’t have to hide.
All the things you didn’t see me do; I’m graduating but I still write sloppy, I Still can’t “spel” and the dreams come every night...I wish I’d gone to.
I’m leaving so I’ll do this stupid thing now; crying I’ll catch all these tears in this rose, fill it Up, then lay it here and walk away hoping...please find her somehow.
I wish I was up there so I could see this; a young boy sitting alone with a rose full of Tears; tears for the love, a rose for the memory...someone he’ll always miss.
