The Bride

By: Mary G.

Kristin came into the ballroom where her friends had decorated in red and black. She looked around to see all her girlfriends from high school, college and work, even some girls she had never meet before, she assumed she had meet them over the Internet. She tucked her long curly auburn hair behind her ear when her best friend Tiffany walked up.

"Hey girl, you ready for the ball and chain?" asked her best friend Tiffany, who had already begun drinking.

"Yes, I think so. What’s the stage for, you didn’t get me a cheesy stripper did you?" asked Kristin looking at the stage.

"Cheesy maybe, stripper no" laughed Tiff distracting Kristin.

"Whatever" said Kristin going to meet some pals from college.

Maria another on of Kristin’s friends, and bridesmaid pulled Tiffany into a little hallway. "He is here. I can’t believe he made it, Marlene said he got hung up in Taiwan on tour and she wasn’t sure he would be here." Maria and Tiffany were shaking with excitement. "He is even sexier in person.!!!"

"Oh, my God she is gonna flip her lid." said tiffany in excitement.

"Where do you girls want me?" said Jordan buttoning his red silk shirt. He was surprised that he even agreed to do this. He always told himself he would never do private parties. But something just led him to come here and it wasn’t his mother’s constant nagging.

"Um, well, I guess...." Maria told him what to do and he agreed to it. "Oh, yeah and make sure you make her dance to Give it to You." Tiffany just stood and grinned, she knew that they would either get an ass kicking or hugs.

Jordan got on the stage and prepared to perform. For some reason he was more nervous about this than he was at any other performance. Kind of like it was important for his future, which made no sense at all.

Meanwhile, Maria and Tiff got Kristin and sat at the front table. Kris was still wondering what was up her sneaky friends sleeves. All the lights went out and the curtains opened. Kristin saw a familiar set up with a familiar silhouette, it looked like the Baby I Believe in You performance. She shrieked when she realized it was the real Jordan Knight.

Pt 2

"I can’t believe you guys, I’m gonna kill you when this is over!" Kris shrieked in delight. God he is even hotter in person. "Why’d you wait until I had already found a man!!" Kristin’s face beamed.

Jordan looked down at Kristin she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He wondered why all the good women were already taken, and usually by ass hole men. He got down off the stage and held out his hand for her to take.

Kristin took Jordan’s hand and at that moment felt a spark, then she looked into his eyes and felt a special connection that she didn’t even feel with Bryan, her fiancé. When Jordan started to dance to Give it To You she joined in. Moving towards her in a very sexy way and she moved closer to him. Before they realized it they were entwined, moving with the music. He put his hand on her behind and she was rubbing his chest, still grinding with the music. He was getting worked up and she could tell. The dance was over too soon. He pulled away from her and realized that this was the woman of his dreams and he had been to late.

Kristin got off the stage and got a drink for her and Jordan. She thought to herself "Damn that was good, Bryan doesn’t even make me feel that way." Then she got back to her senses and remembered how much she loved Bryan, her boyfriend of three years. She walked over to Jordan and handed him a beer.

"Thanks." he said softly, trying not to make eye contact with her. "So you’re getting married tomorrow?" he asked trying to get his mind off of how bad he wanted her right now.

"Yes, tomorrow morning. I can’t wait, I’ve been waiting for it for three years." Kris thought back to the day she met Bryan when he came home from med. school with her older brother. "He insisted that he get his private practice up before we got married."

Kris loved Bryan with all her heart. She loved his light brown hair, green eyes and the way he smelled after a shower. She fell in love with him right away even though he is her brother’s best friend, not to mention thirteen years older than her. "I heard that you were engaged, is that true?"

Jordan smiled then answered. "No, Evy and I broke things off for Dante’s sake." he though for a moment. "We were miserable and didn’t want him to be too." Jordan sighed remembering how he once felt about Evy. They just weren’t able to make things work. Looking at Kris made him feel that special feeling that he once felt for Evy, he missed having a woman around, the way they smell, the way they walk and talk, the way they make his home smell, the way they hold him at night and the way they are always there when he needs a shoulder to cry on. "Shane and Donnie just don’t cut it anymore for company." he thought to himself.

Kristin looked at Jordan and wondered what his thoughtful look was about. "He seems so sweet, so lonely and so sad," she thought to herself. "Well, Jordan thanks for coming. I don’t know how my friends managed to get you here." Kris reached out to shake his hand.

Jordan reached to shake Kris’s hand and felt that little spark again. "Tiffany tells me you and Bryan are moving just a few blocks from my house, maybe we will see each other around."

"Yeah, maybe you can join us for dinner sometime" Kris was already thinking about trying to set Jordan up with Tiffany.

Pt 3

Kristin was really nervous. "Something doesn’t feel right dad," she said in frustration as she pulled on her wedding dress.

"Oh, honey it’s just cold feet, everyone feels that on their wedding day." Pauly said in assurance. He thought back to his wedding day over 40 years ago when his wife had the same feeling. He looked at his daughter adoringly, she was just like her mother, dark Italian skin, bright eyes same pouty mouth, and even her mothers perfect nose. Of course Kristin had auburn hair and light green eyes from his side of the family, but that made her even more one of a kind. "Your mother is so proud, I can feel her looking down on us from heaven." he said in his soft Irish voice.

"Is she ready yet?" yelled Dave, her older brother who was beginning to get impatient. "Kevin wants to see her." He couldn’t believe that his baby sister was getting married before any of their brothers. Dave at 38 was married at one time but had lost her during the birth of their son. He thought back to the day he and Sarah got married only 5 years ago. "Kris hurry up your little butt!"

"What’s taking so damn long?" asked Scott her youngest brother, and definitely the most immature. He took after the Irish side completely, unlike Dave and Dante and Brett, Kris’s other brothers. In his 32 years he had only grown to be about 5 foot 10. He had bright red hair, bright green eyes and was very handsome in his own way. Not to mention was the most impatient of the bunch. "Damn it Kris will you hurry up I want to get to the reception, I’m hungry."

Dante the oldest brother at 40 spoke up "Scott will you stop thinking about your stomach at a time like this." he finished buttoning up his Armani suit. Dante was a tad bit taller than Dave at 6 foot 6 inches, he had the darkest brown eyes down the hall. "What does the dumb blonde want now?" he asked Tiffany.

"I was just going to make sure Bryan actually showed up." smirked Tiffany. She had at one time had a crush on all of the brothers. "Hi Scott" Tiff said suggestively, remembering the little romp they had in Kris’s car a few days ago. "Can you come with me into the dressing room so we can talk about the getaway car"

"Sure" said Scott with a big grin on his face. "I have some really good ideas, if you know what I mean." He took her hand and went into the room of the hotel they were using for a dressing room.

As soon as they got into the room he kissed her. He kissed her so passionately that her nipples were instantly hard without any touching. He ran his hand up her dress and noticed she wasn’t wearing any pantyhose or panties. She was kissing his neck as she methodically unbuttoned and unzipped his pants and pulled out what she wanted inside of her. They had to be fast because they needed to be outside in a few minutes for the wedding. After they were finished he held her for a few seconds and then fixed her dress and his pants. When they got outside everyone was already there and no one had even missed them.

Pauly was pacing outside and wondering where Kris was, she said she would be out in five minutes, that was eight minutes ago. He looked up and noticed a young man that he thought was familiar in a silver Yukon looking at them. Looking at them as if he wished he were a part of it. Then the red light turned green and he was gone.

Part 4

Jordan pulled into Donnie’s driveway an hour late. "Man, where the hell have you bee? They guys have been here for hours." Donnie came out to the care and took on of the kegs out of the Yukon.

"I got sidetracked, you know me and my dreaminess." Jordan replied softly.

"You OK man?" asked Donnie, he had been worrying about Jordan since he finally dumped Evy. "You’re not thinking about her again?" Donnie never did like Evy much, she always treated Jordan like shit, but for some reason Jordan couldn’t stand to be alone. "You don’t have the Jerry Maguire thing going on do you?"

"No, I meet the perfect girl." Jordan frowned as he said it.

Donnie looked puzzled "So why you sad dude?" Jordan was always happy to meet a new girl.

Jordan had a tear run down his face. "Because she is getting married today, probably right now as we speak." Jordan couldn’t believe he finally meet Mrs. Right, and that she is going to be Mrs. Bryan in a matter of minutes.

"O U Bad." said Danny coming out of the house. "So go stop the wedding, I would." Danny had already had a few drinks.

Joe came out of the house smiling. "What’s going on?" He walked up to Jordan "did I hear something about the Great Jordan Knight letting someone else marry his dream girl?" He paused for a minute "dude you can’t let that happen, remember Nina?"

"Hell yeah, little bro" Jon commented. " You finally got ride of that little bitch and now you to scared to get a new girl."

Jordan looked at them all "thanks for the encouragement guys, but all of you have had way to much to drink and..." He paused for a minute reflecting on what his drunk friends were saying, they tended to be smart asses when they were drunk, but they actually make sense today. "You have to remember I just met her yesterday, she is getting married to someone she has been in love with for two years. Why would she want me?"

"Um, let us think..." Joe started to say.

"Your rich, your handsome, your fertile, your funny, you can devote all your time to this girl cause you have no life" Donnie interrupted.

"Hey, you’re forgetting, famous, a semi good singer" smirked Joey, "and you have wonderful supportive friends"

"Jordan," spoke up the wiser, less drunken Jon "if you really want this girl you have to tell her, before she says I do,"

"Yeah," agreed the guys in unison.

"So stop running your fat mouth and go." Danny held the Yukon door open for Jordan.

Pt 5

Jordan jumped in his car and went to the hotel where the wedding was going to take place. He jumped out of the car and into the hotel lobby. "Damn where is this wedding?" he said to himself out loud.

"The Parker and Johnson wedding?" asked the blonde behind the desk, smiling flirtatiously.

"Yeah" answered Jordan, it was obvious he was in a hurry.

The blonde pointed to the left where the grand ballroom was "it’s over there Jordan" She smiled at him and wondered why he looked so frustrated.

"Thanks" he said running into the ballroom. He looked around and the bride and groom were facing the guests. "Oh no" he thought to himself.

"Lady’s and gentleman I give you Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Johnson" said the minister. As the beautiful bride and handsome groom came down the isle to the piano music of I’ll be loving you forever.

Jordan stepped to the side as they walked by. Kristin looked straight into his eyes and wondered why he was there. They got in the receiving line and Jordan just joined in since that was the only way to exit the church. He watched as all the friends and family of the bride and groom hugged and kissed them. The next thing he knew he was shaking hands with a confused groom.

"Hi," asked Bryan looking at Kristin confused.

"Oh, Bryan this is my new friend Jordan, He lives in the neighborhood we will be moving too." said Kristin smiling. "It was nice of you to come, will you stay for the reception."

That was the question Jordan was dreading. "Um, yeah I suppose" he kissed her on the cheek and walked into the reception hall where he was greeted by the maid of Honor Tiffany.

"Hi Jordan it was sweet of you to come." She handed him a glass of wine and smiled.

"Yeah, I couldn’t miss it" lied Jordan. He took the wine and downed it quickly, "I can’t stay long I have friends waiting. He looked up as the Bryan and Kristin came in hand and hand. "Well, here is the happy couple now" he said with hesitation.

Kristin broke away from Bryan as Brett came over to talk. "Hi Jordan, I am so glad you could make it." she smiled and continued " I hope we will see more of you, I am new in town and can use all the friends I can get." She looked at Tiffany who was grinning from ear to ear. "We are having a house warming dinner when we get back from Alaska, will you please join us?"

How could he say no to that wonderful face? "Sure, I will just let me know when and where" he looked around the room looking for a reason to leave soon without being rude.

"Well, in order for me to do that I need an address and phone number." Kris said looking at Bryan who was waving her over "Tiff will you take care of getting that information for me?"

"Sure" replied Tiff smiling at Jordan flirtatiously "well, Jordan why don’t you write that information down on this card and I will make sure I call you personally to let you know when it is." She handed Jordan a card, and while he leaned over onto the table to write down his information she slyly checked out his tight rear end and began imagining.

"Now, your not going to post this on the Internet are you?" he asked her jokingly, thinking she would be the perfect match for Donnie. Especially the way she was checking out his rear end the way Donnie checks out women, or well in the call it what you want video anyway. " Do you think Kristin would mind if I brought along a friend?"

"No, why on earth would I do that." she smiled at him again, "of course you can bring a friend," she punched him lightly on the arm "as long as his last name is Wahlberg." She had always dreamed of meeting Donnie. Well, meeting him wasn’t the only thing she dreamed of..

"Good, well you call me and let me know when it is and I’ll be sure to bring Donnie with me." Jordan said. Then he politely made his excuses and left. When he got in the Yukon he wiped a tear from his face and thought to himself "Damn it, late again." then he drove off towards Donnie’s place.

Pt 6

"So, man what happened?" Donnie asked as Jordan pulled back into the driveway. When Jordan left no one could drink anymore. He had all the booze with him. "Did you do it?"

"No, by the time I got there the minister was introducing them as Mr. and Mrs. Bryan whatever." Jordan had been crying even his goofy friends could tell.

"Dude I’m sorry." said Danny as he handed Jordan a beer, which was Danny’s way of hugging him.

"Oh, man that sucks ass." said a sympathizing Joe, lighting a smoke and offering one to Jordan.

Jordan waved away the beer and cigarette. "Yeah, that’s just my luck" Jordan sucked back tears not wanting to cry in front of the guys. He was thinking of the time when Joey was going through hell with Nina. She had decided that since Joe didn’t want commitment she would find someone she did. When Joe finally did something and told her that he loved her she had already eloped with her ex-boyfriend. "I just hope that I find another women out there."

"Whatever you do don’t go back to Evy again." offered the wise Jon. Jon walked over to Jordan and gave him a hug, of course it was a short hug. "You’ll find someone, hell, maybe her marriage won’t work out and by the time they get divorced you’ll be her best friend."

"Jonathan, how dare you wish something like that on someone!" yelled Marlene from behind him. "What’s wrong with my baby?" she said giving Jordan the hug he needed. "Don’t you listen to your friends honey." She wiped his tears, she hadn’t done that in such a long time, she missed her babies.

"Mom, it’s guy time" Jordan spoke up when he realized his friends were all staring at him. "I’ll come by and talk to you later."

"OK honey, make sure you bring my new grandbaby with you." Smiled Marlene. "Donald, tell your mother that our meeting has been rescheduled to Monday."

"OK mom," answered Donnie "I’ll tell her." rolling his eyes towards the guys.

After Marlene left Jordan told the guys exactly what happened and that he was going to go to the house warming dinner. But of course they had to figure out what a housewarming dinner was. They all drank too much and watched TNT movies for guys who like movies.

Pt 7

A Week later

Jordan woke up. Dante had been crying all night and had a bit of a fever so Marlene had spent the night. He got in the shower and started thinking about Kristin again, he couldn’t get her out of his mind and it was about to drive him insane. His mom knocked on the bathroom door. "What mom"

"Sweety, some girl just called for you. She said that the dinner was at 6pm tomorrow night." Marlene smiled, hoping Jordan had finally meet someone else other than that married girl and Evy. She loved her grandson but really wished his mother was a bit nicer.

"OK mom, you can go home if you want, I can take care of him now." Jordan stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. He peeked out of his window and saw a moving truck in the driveway across from him. "Oh, now, I really need this" he spoke to himself as he saw Kristin and Bryan get out of the BMW convertible. "Damn it the neighborhood is one thing, next door is another." Jordan sighed and pulled on his boxer briefs and jeans, then went downstairs to say bye to his mom.

"Hey, Jordan." yelled Kristin from across the street. She walked across and came to his gate. Jordan walked out to meet her. "Did Tiffany call you?"

"Yes she did. How was your honeymoon?" Not that he really wanted to hear about it. She looked so beautiful, her hair shiny and straight, her eyes green and sparkly, and of course a big newlywed grin on her face. He couldn’t help wanting her the way he did.
