Our own Miami 495 OA Lodge has announced that they will be taking on the project to construct a new climbing tower at Woodland Trails. This will be a great undertaking and will be offered to the council to help commemorate the 50th anniversary of Miami Lodge. The goal is to replace the current 14 foot tower with an awesome 60 foot structure. Miami Lodge will be conducting fundraisers to help finance this project. Please offer your support when and where you can.
The OA will be conducting Unit Elections for the 2002 membership year beginning in January. Please schedule a time for the OA Election Team to come to your Unit's meeting and conduct an OA election. The elegibility requirements are that a Scout is at least 1st Class rank and that he have 15 days and nights of camping which needs to include one long term (6 days) camping experience. Please contact Travis Wilt at 339-8106 or by e-mail at wiltoftroy@netzero.net to schedule an election.
The dam spillway project at Woodland Trails lake is progressing nicely and looks very promising to be ready for the 2002 Summer Camp season.
