| Upcoming Training Courses offered in the near future at both the district and council levels. District Roundtable Roundtable is an opportunity for leaders from within our district to get together and share ideas and participate in some simple training on general topics of interest. Held the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00pm. Click HERE for directions. Basic Leader Training Training opportunities for new leaders and unit committee members. Parents might even find these topics of interest. Advanced Leader Training Opportunities for more in dept coverage of Scouting material. This courseware is good for anyone that wants to get to the real meat of Scouting. Videos and SelfPaced Video presentations and self-paced material which will leave you wanting more information. A good way to "cut your teeth" on Scouting. Other Training Training for various audiences on a variety of topics. Youth Protection Required material for all leaders. This course should be covered every 2 years. A combination video and presentation format, this course covers the information and procedures necessary to protect youth from Physical, Sexual, and Psychological abuse by anyone within Scouting, and how to recognize the symptoms if abuse is occuring outside of Scouting. |
