“Drinks anyone?” Gina asked as
she carried a tray full of frothy pink liquid.
“What is that?” Stef asked.
“It’s a new drink, I just mixed
some stuff together, added ice and hocus pocus,” she paused waving a hand over
the drinks. “The Jenga.”
“I’ll try it,” Bev said from her
perch on a float in the pool.
“Me too,” Connie said as she
grabbed a glass off the tray.
“No thanks, I’m a beer woman,”
Shannon said grabbing a Bud Light out of the cooler near her chair.
“Stef, that leaves you,” Gina
said offering her older sister a glass of her secret concoction.
“Okay. Sure,” Stef took a sip.
“Very good.” She continued to
sip away at the icy beverage.
“Slow down, sis. I know how you get when you get drunk.”
“Bite me!”
“Girls, this is one of the last
nights we’re here, no fighting,” Bev teased the sisters.
“Yes mom,” Gina said tossing a
float into the pool splashing Bev.
“Bitch!”
“So what’s the plan for
tonight?” Connie asked trying to change
the subject.
“Want to go out dancing?” Gina
asked.
“Not again tonight,” Connie
whined.
“Don’t you ever get tired of
going out?” Stef added.
“How can you get tired of men
hitting on you?” Gina quickly rebutted.
“I know,” Shannon started while
making herself comfortable on a chaise lounge.
“Truth or dare Stef?”
“Ugh, you know how much I hate
this game.”
“Nope, no backing out,” Gina
laughed.
“Man if we’re going to play this
we’re gonna need lots more alcohol.”
With that Connie ran into the house and came back out with shot glasses
and Apple Pucker. She distributed the
glasses to all the girls and raised hers.
“To the best summer of our lives.”
They all shot the liquor.
“Okay Steffie, you’re up. Truth or dare?” Shannon asked again.
“I have a feeling I’m gonna
regret playing this, but what the hell.
Truth.”
“Whimp!” Bev yelled.
“Steffie have you ever had sex
with someone you just met?”
“No,” Stef grinned. “My turn to ask.” She hated having to answer a question or take a dare, but Stef
loved being on the other end. She
poured herself another shot than turned to Gina. “Dear little sis, truth or dare?”
“Dare,” Gina said bravely.
“Okay let me think … she held up
the bottle next to her surveying the amount of green liquid left. “Drink up,” she said while tossing the
bottle over to Gina. Gina unscrewed the
cap and quickly gulped the tart liquid down.
The game continued and so did
the drinking. It was hours later and it
was Shannon’s turn to ask. “Truth or
dare … um … Stef.”
Stef was laying on her back on a
float in the pool. “Dare.”
“Oh my gawd did she just say
dare?” Connie asked. “She never takes a
dare.”
“Yes I do, shuddup.”
“Make it good, Shan. She may never take another dare,” Gina
stated.
“Run to the water’s edge and
back … topless.”
Stef sat straight up on the
mat. “Did we say no nudity?”
“Nope,” Bev giggled.
“Come on Steffie, you took the
dare. Now get going.”
Stef pulled herself out of the
pool and untied the black bikini top she was wearing. She took off in a light jog towards the ocean. Just for fun she waded out and played in the
water. As she reemerged from the water
shaking her wet hair she didn’t she the man walking along the water’s edge and
ran smack into him.
Stef screamed, quickly trying to
cover her exposed breasts. “Oh oh my …”
she stuttered, “your … your … Lance Bass.”
She said in amazement.
Lance got a huge grin on his
face. “Run on the beach topless at
night much?”
Stef felt her cheeks turn red
and was very grateful that it was dark.
She could hear her friend’s howls of laughter. She started to point towards the deck but quickly recovered her
breasts. “My friends and I were just
playing truth or dare and I took a dare and had to run down here topless,” she
rambled on.
Lance laughed. He pulled the t-shirt he was wearing over his
head uncovering his gorgeous chest.
Stef took a deep breath in as she took in the fine looking man in front
of her. He handed her the shirt, “Here
put this on.”
Stef took the shirt and quickly
pulled it over her head. It smelled of
his cologne. It smelled wonderful. “Um … thanks,” she smiled. She couldn’t believe she was standing
talking to Lance Bass. What came out of
her mouth next surprised her even more.
“Why don’t you come and join us.”
“Um … my … friends,” he pointed
back down the beach.
“Hell bring them along too.”
“You sure?”
“Sure the more the merrier,”
Stef said taking a step towards the deck and practically falling in the sand.
Lance caught her and returned
her to her feet. “Maybe I should help
you to the house before I go get my friends.”
“Okay, thanks.” He grabbed her hand and led her back to the
house.
Her friends scurried back to
their places and tried to pretend that they hadn’t been watching them.
“Hey Stef, what’d you find?” Shannon
asked pointing to Lance.
“Lance, these are my friends;
Shannon, Bev and Connie and that’s my baby sister, Gina.”
“Nice to meet.”
“Lance is going to go and get
his friends and he’ll be right back,” Stef grinned.
“Oh cool,” Bev got up from her
chair and walked over to Lance.
“Anymore as cute as you?”
“Bev back off he’s mine,” Stef
stated possessively. Grabbing Lance’s
arm as if to prove her point.
“Sorry,” Bev went back to her
chair.
“I guess I’ll be right back,”
Lance started to walk away.
“Sorry about that. Ben and I have a tendency to steal guys form
each other. Usually it’s a game we play
but tonight I don’t feel much like sharing.”
“Not a problem,” Lance began
walking back down the beach.
“You’re still coming back,
aren’t you?” Stef asked. “If not maybe
I should give you your shirt back.” She
pulled the shirt over her head revealing her pert breasts. She flashed a devilish grin while holding
the shirt out for him.
“Uh, no … keep it. I’ll, um, be right back.” Lance turned and ran back up the beach.
He burst through the door of
Justin’s room. “Slow down speedy,”
Justin laughed as Lance regained his breath.
“Fans chasing you? I warned you
about walking alone on the beach at night.”
“No man, I found a woman,” he
huffed still trying o return his breathing to normal.
“Lance looks like you need to
get back to you regular gym schedule.”
Justin teased. “So where is this
woman you found.”
He finally caught his
breath, “Listen J, where are the
others?”
“Joey’s in JC’s room and Chris
is in his room chatting on the computer, why?”
“Let’s go get them. These women are HOT! And all wearing near nothing. Stef, the one that ran into me was running
down the beach wearing nothing but bottom to her suit.” Lance grinned. “And let me just tell you that she is f – i – n – e, fine!”
“Guess that explains why you’re
running around with out a shirt.”
“Oh and her friends, her FOUR
friends looked just as fine. Did I
happen to mention that they were drunk too?”
“Cute and drunk. Are they staying here in the hotel?”
“No they’re staying down the
beach at a house. Get you ass up. I’ll go get Chris you grab the others.” Lance ran out the door and three doors down
to Chris’ room. He knocked and
yelled. “Answer the door Chris, and
hurry up!”
The door swung open and Chris
walked back over to his laptop. “What
do you want? And hurry up, I’m talking
to this chic who claims she looks just like Gwen.”
“Gwen Stefani? Yeah right.
Did she send you a picture of herself?”
Chris shook his head. “Then
she’s probably a fifty year old man or better yet a twelve year old girl.” Lance walked over to the laptop and typed, gotta
run … later, then closed the laptop down.
“Hey, why’d you do that?”
“I’ve got real live women … real
live and very drunk women. Real live,
very drunk, beautiful women.”
Chris glanced at his computer,
then back to Lance. “They’d better be
damn good looking. I may have missed
out on a little Gwen action.” Chris
slipped on his shoes and followed Lance.
They met up with the others
outside of JC’s room.
“They better be hot Lance. We were watching a really good movie.” JC whined.
“Don’t lie JC,” Joey
interjected. “We were watching a porn
that we’d rented already twice this week.
Anyway real women are definitely better,” he paused looking at
Lance. “They are better aren’t they?”
“Yes now let’s hurry before some
other guys find them, or worse yet they find other guys.”
~*~ Back At The Beach House ~*~
“Okay Stef since you know more
about NSYNC than any of us, fill us in.”
Connie said.
“Obviously Lance is all yours by
the way you about bit Bev’s head off for merely touching him. Who would I like best?” Gina asked.
“Just a sec,” she ran into the
house and upstairs to her room. Quickly
returning she handed her CD to Gina.
“Who’s this one?” she asked
pointing to Joey. “And does her really
think his hair looks good like that?”
“That’s Joey. Just who I’d pick for you. He’s the flirt of the group. Oh and he’s Italian, wouldn’t mom just love
that,” Stef gushed.
Shannon grabbed the CD case
opening it up. “These guys don’t really
look like my type. Well, maybe this
one’s not too bad, who’s he?”
Stef leaned over and saw that
she was pointing at Chris. “That’s
Chris. I guess he’s the best pick for
you.”
“Okay that sounds promising,”
Shannon sulked.
“My turn! Pass that magic book to me.” Bev grabbed the cover from Shannon. “Guess that only leaves two.”
“You guys are picking these guys
like they are some donut or something in a bakery case. They’re human beings.” Connie ranted.
“You’re just upset because you
don’t get to pick, you get whichever one I leave,” Bev said trying to rub it
in.
“Oh hell, I don’t care.”
“Good cause I want the tall dark
haired one. Just look at his gorgeous
blue eyes.”
Connie took the CD cover from
Bev. “That’s fine,” she said. “The one that’s left is cute. He looks young, but very workable.”
The guys walked up on the deck
just as Connie was finishing her sentence.
Stef got a huge grin on her face.
For a minute she was doubtful that they were actually going to return,
but here she stood not more than inches away from Lance and the rest on
NSYNC. If she hadn’t have been drunk
she might just have died on the spot, but alcohol took away all her inhibitions. It was said that most people wouldn’t do
something drunk that they would do sober; well in Stef’s case the opposite was
true. She had a habit of doing things
that she’d never do if she weren’t under the influence of alcohol.
Stef watched as the group paired
off before her eyes. Shannon and Chris
headed toward the beach, Bev and JC went into the house, Gina and Joey were
discussing getting something to eat and Justin and Connie were making
themselves comfortable in the Jacuzzi.
“Wanna go some place
quiet?” Lance nodded. She grabbed his hand and walked toward the
living room.
“Sorry, try another room,” Bev
said as she and JC were playing with the CD player.
“Let’s go to your room,” Lance
suggested.
“Sure.” Stef led the way up the stairs to her room.
Lance shut and locked the door
behind them. “No need for
interruptions.”
Stef began to flutter around the
room picking up pieces of clothing that had been strewn around earlier. She was nervous and Lance could tell. He walked up to and laid his hand on her
arm. “Please sit down.” Without hesitation she did. She sat and watched as Lance lit the candles
she had placed around the room giving the room an amber glow.
He looked comfortable in this
type of situation. On a normal night
Stef would never have done something like this. Her head was trying to win out over the alcohol. It wasn’t an easy battle and no matter what
thought’s came into her head Stef easily convinced herself that this was the right
thing.
Lance stood before her and held
out his hand. Stef grabbed it and he
yanked her up and into his arms. “Wanna
dance?”
“Sure.”
Lance began to sway and Stef
followed. She laid her head on his
shoulder and rocked back and forth with him.
His hands began to wonder and soon they were pulling his shirt up over
her head. He was surprised to see that
she had never put back on her bikini top.
Nervous butterflies continued to
flutter around in Stef’ stomach. What
am I doing? “Lance,” she began
looking down at the floor, “I don’t think I can do this.”
Lance tilted her chin up so that
she was looking at him. “We don’t have
to do anything that you don’t want to.”
He smiled at her. “If … no when
we make love I want you to be sure that you want it too.” He helped her pull his shirt back then laid
her down on the bed and tucked her under the covers before taking his shoes off
and climbing into the bed with her.
Stef rolled over and kissed
Lance once lightly on the lips before rolling back over to drift off into a
sound sleep.
*Six Months Later*
“Ladies and Gentlemen, we are
gathered here to join this man and woman in matrimony.”
The wind blew causing Stef’s
short dress to below. She was standing
on the very same beach that she’d first me Lance. They thought this would be the perfect place to get married.
Filled with more happiness then
she ever thought possible Stef listened as the justice of the peace recited the
words that most girls know by heart.
She glanced over at Lance and
felt extremely blessed. How this
gorgeous man ever fell in love with her and asked her to marry him was beyond
her.
Stef looked down and almost
laughed. Who would have ever thought
that she would get married barefoot on a beach? She’d always wanted the big fairytale wedding.
Lance had picked a silk shirt
and khaki shorts while she had chosen a simple white lace dress that flared at
the waist and barley hit her knees. She
wore simple baby’s breath weaved throughout her hair. Stef felt like a fairy princess even if this wasn’t a church and
there were no horse drawn carriages.
Even though nothing came out to
their friend’s trysts that night Stef and Lance formed a deep friendship and
eventual love for one another. Their
friends stood up for them no and Stef had to grin at the fact that a simple
game of truth or dare led to her meeting the love of her life.
“It is my pleasure to present
Mr. and Mrs. James Bass.” Everyone
clapped. “You may kiss your bride.”
