Have you ever lost someone who was very close to you? Do you wonder where they are now? Do you sometimes feel like they are looking over your shoulders? When you feel them close to you, what do you think they would say to you if they could open the veil that now stands between you and them? Perhaps they would tell you how much you have meant to their
lives, or perhaps their message might be more stressful as they plead with you to change your life while you still have time. Otherwise you will surely end up in the same place where they now reside. They may be telling you to listen to your heart because the Master's words are all real, and in His heavenly kingdom there is no place for compromise, there are no words for almost good enough, there are no rooms for an adulterous generation.
As we think about how we will measure up at the end of our journey, we need to look at the TV shows we watch, the movies we seek, the people with whom we associate, and who or what is the greatest love in our
lives. Then remember that there is no compromise in the Father's kingdom. We either love Him above all else, or we don't. We will cry out to the Master on that day about how hard it was for us to live the pure life. But He will simply remind us that through His sacrifice He made it easy for us, yet we still refused to accept His offer, and we rejected His great gift of Jesus because it was not enough for us. I think His only remaining question to us might simply be, why? Things will surely look different to us in that hour.
So don't waste today, the veil may be closing upon us with the next sunset, and listen closely to the voices already coming from behind the veil. They are whispering "is it truly well with your soul?" Today can
make a difference.
