Antoinette was the only childe of the original de Marque, Atolle. During the wars that racked the vampire race, he was killed, leaving everything to her. After the massacre of her family, she decided to stay in France.

Keeping her childe with her, she split the others into groups, sending them to other countries. There they hid and thrived, but still kept their numbers small in case of another attack.

Antoinette lost track of the others over time, losing contact with them. Eventually she came to Ayenee and is working on getting the others to join her, recreating the powerful clan that she was once a part of.
