Jade started as a pleasure slave, something that she greatly despises and doesn't like others to know about. Eventually she was purchased by a man who wanted her to provide him with children.
Running from him on one occasion, she was hiding in a tavern when she was approached by a man named Tatsu. He listened to her story, and offered his help. Letting him help her was what started their whole relationship.
He destroyed the link put upon her by her previous owner, and they fell in love. Eventually they married, and she became the Princess of Solaar, which came as quite a shock to her.
They now have a year old son named Yoshiyuki (NPC), Yoshi for short, whom she loves with all her heart.
