If not for you, I would have crumbled
I would have fallen, I would have lost
If not for you, I would have been lonely
I would have been torn, I would have been tossed
If not for you, many things undiscovered
Many things unknown, many things untrue
If not for you, there would have been sad times
Some bad times, and many times, feeling blue
Until I met you, had to know you
And blessed to love you
I was shaken, and mostly taken
The scars on my heart, hard to undo
When I discovered, inside your heart
My heart, could find a home

When I'm feeling down
There are many trying times in our lives
And many times we despair
We begin to doubt our sanity
We wonder if anyone cares
It’s hard sometimes to see the light
If everything will work itself out
We must always look at the bright side
To continue without a doubt
Whenever I feel like I’m sinking
I begin to reach down inside
And pull out all of my assets
My courage, strength, and pride
So whenever you are feeling down
Just remember when you begin

Throughout my life I have struggled
Until a blessing came to me
I could not tell good from bad
Then you taught me how to see
It has been a rocky road most of my life
Rarely ever a good day
Then you found a way in my heart
And helped me pave the way
They say Angels walk among us

Rules of the Heart
In this world of breaking hearts.
Romances come and go.
The seed is planted once again.
Not given the chance to grow.
Strong temptations are everywhere.
Consuming the will to be true.
Just love’em and leave’em in our life.
And dismiss the err we do.
To protect my sanity and my heart.
I follow these simple rules.
If you believe in them as I do.
They will separate you from the fools.
Never say never,
When you say you will always love me.
Never say you will always be true.
Never say I will,
When you say you will always want me.
And never say always when you say I love you.

In the times of trouble
In the times of pain
You feel your mind slipping
You know you’re going insane
You think you are always alone
And no one is ever there
You feel all the pressure
That comes from everywhere
You don’t know where to turn
You don’t know where to look
You feel all the hurt
That you have always took
Now you think it’s too late
No more tears to cry
You think it’s all over
As your dreams begin to die
Yes you know it’s all over
And soon will be the end
Then someone brightens your life
You find a special friend
This friend is there for you
In your lonely time of need
Even just to listen
As your heart begins to bleed
Only special people
Can affect you in this way
They always make you smile
