Benetka Road Covered Bridge
The Benetka Road Covered Bridge
features a nine-inch wide by 38-inch
deep arch that was constructed out of one-inch yellow poplar lumber.
The boards were dried and salt treated, then glued and spiked together,
creating a beautiful arch that enables the bridge to accept the local
traffic across the Ashtabula River in northeast Ohio's Sheffield
Township. The interior of the bridge shows travelers massive arches
combined with the lattice truss, making it extremely photogenic.
