John Druckemiller
son of Jacob & Sarah Druckemiller
John was born Aug. 30,1830 in Harrison Co.,Ohio. Later in life, John married Catherine "cass" Burrier on Dec. 28,1850. Catherine was a native of Maryland, she was born Apr. 3,1828 in Carroll Co.,Ohio. She had been an invalid for many years. On May 25,1844, she had been admitted to communion of the Eveangelical Lutheran Church in Carroll Co.,Ohio. In Grant Co.,Indiana, she was a charter member of the Methodist Protestant Church in Rosenburg. Not much is known about John, but he was admired by many people, so says Lena Shaw Wildman:"John Druckemiller was known for the fine horse and carriage he drove", Golda Burrier quotes:"John was a ladies' man". John died Sept. 7,1908 in Washington Twp., Grant Co., Indiana, at the home of his daughter "Mag" McCracken. He was buried in IOOF Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. His wife Catherine died of heart failure on Nov. 9,1900 in Grant Co., Indiana.
