Milton Birchfield Druckemiller
son of John & Catherine Druckemiller

Milton was born in Carroll Co., Ohio. He was the son John and Catherine Druckemiller. Later in life he married Agnes Louise "Lyde" Thomas, daughter of Bonar and Martha (Ankrom)Thomas, natives of Greene Co., Pa.

Agnes was born January 11,1857 in Vinton Co., Ohio, and died April 21 1937 of circulatory troubles of the leg in Toledo, Ohio, at the home of her daughter Hazel. Buried in the IOOF Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.

Milton died January 5, 1923 in Grant Co., Indiana., of a massive stroke. Buried in the IOOF Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. lot 31 Block 23.

Milton was a staunch Democrat. And worked as a school teacher, postmaster, farmer,and road builder.

He had seven children: Coy,Hallie,Hazel,Frank,Oris,Doris,and Dora. Milton was a friend of all he met--the rich, the poor, the black, the white and he would invite them to share his porch swing much to the disgust of his wife.

Typically Dutch, he believed the barn was where the money was made, so the house was unimportant. Also typically Dutch, he was short and stocky: his wife of Scotch-Irish descent was tall and big-boned.
