Lois’s Lament
 By Neal Debreceni (neald20@shaw.ca)

when we dance

light weightless

free

swept off my feet

(more powerful than a locomotive)

Flying

he proposes to me

Yes, Yes, Yes

what am I stupid?

gives me the sun and the moon

at least takes me to visit

(able to leap tall buildings in a single bound)

Wedding day at last

flooding in China

he’d better not stand me up

the world can wait one day

earthquake in Mexico

almost time. Wedding night soon

exited anxious

is it worth the wait?

(faster than a speeding bullet)
