My world, welcome to it!

LIFE'S TOO SHORT. You could go out tomorrow and get hit by a bus, for God's sake!. And would you want your last thought to be an angry one? Your last impression to be a malicious one? Love each other. Love yourselves. Be kind. Today is a gift; that's why they call it the present.

So many people to thank, so many people to congratulate, so many people to mock. And not necessarily in that order. Of course, my mother did say, if you can't say anything nice, come sit next to me...or was it don't put it in your mouth if you don't know where it's been? Whatever....But relax--if you don't see your name here, it doesn't mean I don't love you...oh, wait, maybe it does. (Sorry I'm late - no excuse except I'm old, fat and tired....)

GLCR: Bless this organization. In good times and bad , the GLCR has been a home to so many people, especially me! You don't know what it was like to be away from you so long. We've got good folks and good ideas - let's grow!!

PRAIRIE PRIDE: Sorry about the new season. Let's all try to add to our volunteer pool and, as they stay, let's do this thing!

QUEEN CITY PRIDE: You struggled last year, but remember, there's a whole gay community to tap for volunteers, if you just go and ask.

RSAR: The more things change the more they stay the same. Love the court, hate the court, love the folks involved, hate the folks involved. At the end of it all, the organization has kept the LGBTQ+ community alive and thriving, has raised money for countless charities and been a home to those who felt left out in the cold sometimes. We've been here more than 30 years and no amount of lying, hating, posturing, gossiping or moaning is going to make us go anywhere. This is last year's sentiment, but it feels even more important this year!

There's more and more after that, and I'd probably go on and on if I wasn't so old and tired. And really not as in love with the sound of my own voice as you might think. But seriously, if I missed ya, I'm sure it wasn't intentional, (pretty sure...) and if you message me on Facebook I can probably add you!

Oh, and don't forget:

In my world, the coffee is strong as death, black as hell and sweet as love (and always made by Ianto Jones). Fox Mulder is always just as close as my TV, Slow Motion Walter is always more than just a blues song, and the Gunmen always visit on Friday. Bunnies and bears always frolic in my living room, Blair Sandburg is always the bottom, there is always a next Sunday, everything's Benedict and nothing hurts, And finally, the Blanches are always shaken, never stirred.
