Good morning from the rainy woods. I wish the sun would come out. Not
so much for my benefit, but methinks the boys are getting a little stir
crazy.
Yesterday, ___ took us on a 4x4 tour of the area-it looks alot like
where we used to pick chokecherries and saskatoons when I was a kid. We
went to Tway, and are goin' back tomorrow/today cuz the infamous Tway General
Store was closed (Semi-retired hours, closed Mon-Sun)(that's what the sign
said). Then we came back and ___ made a fabulous supper-pork chops on the
BBQ, pasta 'n peas with cookies for dessert. He insists on doing everything.
Very sweet, but I don't see pianos strapped to my ass or ___'s either.
We watched some TV and played beer jacks-___ lost/won, but we were
all a little drunk. Then we played the "Peter Pan" board game and Trivial
Pursuit. It was fun. It's hard for ___ to realize how much this trip means
to me. I mean, aside from just relaxin' and not worrying about the Court,
the Bar or work, I know how special the cabin is to ___ and that the things
we do are things that have been a constant in a life too full of moves
and personal conflict.
The rain does seem to be petering out. I hope the pictures we take
work out. ___ is sleeping on the couch. I wonder why. I don't imagine it's
very comfy.
Yesterday AM was very cool. ___ and I drinking flavoured coffee on
the deck while listening to Babs. How civilized! Hey, it's a Gay Man's
Guide To Camping-not "camping", but Camping. Rule 1: To butch it up for
annoying straight friends, just spray on plenty of deep Woods Off-you'll
smell as tough as you feel. Or is it feel as rank as you smell? Whatever.
