It was a long week and in some ways wholly satisfying, what with the final bonding day of redhatting where I felt like I was actually helping these people and not just shrugging and rolling my eyes at them. Was interesting working with He Of The Curly Hair and all, and he still smells breedery to me *L* The blondes were adorable--too bad I didn't even know their names by the end of it.
Had a great bonding thing with this guy at work today; bizarre but totally interesting, and a complete fluke. Don't know what to make of it, except of course, that he's most likely gay *L*
BBM wormed its way into LJ this week and made for fascinating dialogue. Bottom line is Mick's a way better angst writer and always will be, and if I'm looking for someone to take care of someone else's owies and then fall in love with them, I'll look to the internet to get off--ooh, like that's a surprise *L*
The bar is still the bar and while it's getting wearisome saying "this too shall pass" every ten seconds, I still know it will, and when the dust settles, I'll still be bartending and they just won't be around.
I took several escalations today, and one during redhatting, and apparently it's not just me--I really am a cold, sarcastic, awful, lying, stupid person. Thanks for pointing that out, Cingular customers. Jerks. *L*
One more week, then days off, a trip to Calgary, Easter, coronation, possibly cleaning my house at some point, and killing this bug that is sitting in my throat just dying to become something awful....no time for colds!
I almost made it to the bar tonight, cos it's the first Mr and Miss candidate show, but frankly, I feel like a sack of ass, and not in any good way, so it's early to bed for me--well, it's one am, but in my Sat night world, that's early *L* and we'll see everyone at brunch.
ps Happy birthday to Abbie, hugs to Bear and Bunny who really made me happy this week (not like they don'tusually, but extra this week) and hugs to all those folks who keep my world interesting and fun and full of peace and love!
