My world, welcome to it!

LIFE'S TOO SHORT. You could go out tomorrow and get hit by a bus, for God's sake!. And would you want your last thought to be an angry one? Your last impression to be a malicious one? Love each other. Love yourselves. Today is a gift; that's why they call it the present.

So many people to thank, so many people to congratulate, so many people to mock. And not necessarily in that order. Of course, my mother did say, if you can't say anything nice, come sit next to me...or was it don't put it in your mouth if you don't know where it's been? Whatever....But relax--if you don't see your name here, it doesn't mean I don't love you...oh, wait, yeah it does.

The MELON PATCH: COOPER, DALLAS, STAN, ALEX: There must be a radical religion somewhere that I could "pray in the gay" at *LOL! You are all making me reassess my opinions on women. Thank you.
MITCHELL: "You counter despair with hope. You strive forever for the best you are capable to be! Therein lies the victory!" Life has been ridiculous in some of the worst ways for you lately and yet you are still this amazing and positive guy who looks for the best in everyone. Thank you for being my best friend!
MORGAN FAIR & KENYA DOIT: Did I spell that right? Thank you so much for coming from Edmonton to visit us! You two gave our room extra sparkle this weekend and I hope we see more of you soon!
NIKKI aka DRINKY NIXX: Aw, kid, you are fantastic in so many ways. Word to the wise, though--there's only drama if you let it happen. Be cool, we love you and at the end of the day, you just have to say it's all right, or something like that. Also, if this fluid sexuality thing isn't just a myth, look out *LOL
QBERT: SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!
ROB: Even if you weren't so amazing in so many ways, or, you know, shacked up with my best friend, you'd still be awesome cos your last name starts with CUMBER! I hope you are enjoying your year as Emperor! ps Gracie is Amazing!
RUBY HYMEN: Always great to see you and your unique presence on stage is fantastic! I can't wait to see what's next!!

STEPHANIE: You've had a bumpy ride these last few months, but you make the whole room smile when you walk in--your positivity is out of this world!
YADA: Thank you for the stellar entertainment this weekend and for making the 15th year look so good! And then DJing on top of it!!! You are amazing!

John: "That...was amazing."
Sherlock: "Do you think so?"
John: "Of course it was, it was extraordinary. It was quite extraordinary."
Sherlock: "That's not what people normally say."
John: "What do people normally say?"
Sherlock: "Piss off."

MISS GAY REGINA 25 LEXI TRES BELLE: You and I have not always seen eye to eye, and I can't say I have agreed with all your life choices. But you showed everyone this weekend that, like a Transformer, there's more to you than meets the eye. I cannot wait to see who you become. And in the meantime, the GLCR better be damned grateful for all the hard work you did this year!! Congratulations!

ALEX FORDAZE and FEATHER: Hi kids, it's your greatest gramma/grampa speaking! Congratulations! You two, and LaLa too, ran an amazing campaign. You worked with each other and encouraged others to get involved. You showed up on time every time and almost always knew your words! You brought your own individual talents to your performances and never let even a hint of bullshit drama enter into it. I have complete faith in you and your abilities. BUT.....yeah, there's always a but! You are young and you are new--doesn't mean you won't be awesome, but please don't be assholes to old people. We have stories to share and we want to help you.

"If I ever decide to become a crime-fighting s**t swizzler, who rooms with a bunch of other little whiners at Neverland Mansion with some creepy, old, bald, Heaven’s Gate-looking motherf**ker… on that day, I’ll send your shiny, happy ass a friend request."
-Deadpool

GLCR: To all the staff and volunteers: keep up the good work, the GLCR would not exist without you! We are 44 years strong, and we can continue to be a welcoming safe space for the GLBTQ community for years to come, but only if we get our heads out of our asses, work with each other and not against one another, and set aside our personal bullshit to make our club a home for everyone, the way it was always home to me. Good luck and God speed Also, for f**k's sake, somebody update Facebook!!

QUEEN CITY PRIDE:  Our Pride Week is becoming the stuff of legend! But remember, for best results, some of you probably want to keep in mind that someday you'll be old too. ps Rouge is just one colour in a rainbow that you seem to want to pretend doesn't exist.

RSAR: such a vital part of Regina's GLBT community. Without you, this community would have closed up shop twenty years ago. Having said that, please, for the love of god, please, let's do this together. Unnecessary drama only hurts the organization and we have proven countless times over that we are all so so much better than that.

MICK: Some days I miss you so much it's like there's no air in the room. No one will ever take your place.

HUGS: Leonard, Mick, Dean, Cas, Harvey, Mike, Steve, Danny, Neal, Peter, Sherlock, John, Ianto, Jack, Blair, Jim, Giles, Spike, Lex, Clark, Fox, Walter....
KUDOS: Anyone who found their way to Sunday brunch or TV night. Thanks, you make me feel special; Online friends and fans, you are my support system and I couldn't do any of it without you--I really am that internet success story ; all out of town guests who make Regina more beautiful by virtue of their presence and home town folks who do the same; God Bless you all....

There's more and more after that, and I'd probably go on and on if I wasn't so old and tired!  At any rate, I'll add names later if I feel like it, if I remember, or if you email me to bitch about not being in here!

Oh, and don't forget:

In my world, the coffee is strong as death, black as hell and sweet as love (and always made by Ianto Jones). The smoking section is closing soon. Fox Mulder is always just as close as my dvdplayer, Slow Motion Walter is always more than  just a blues song,  and the Gunmen always visit on Friday. Bunnies and bears always frolic in my living room, Blair Sandburg is always the bottom, there is always a next Sunday, everything's Benedict and nothing hurts, and finally, the Blanches are always shaken, never stirred.
That's enough to be going on with, don't you think?
