I'm weirdly lucky. I have amazing friends. I have interesting family. I have friends I didn't even know I had. For example, here's the scoop. ___ came into town for Grey Cup. His plane was late and his luggage was lost. He met a woman on the plane, ___. She is a huge Ti-Cat fan. She brought him here from the airport, took him and ___ to the Ti-Cat event w/her VIP pass, and then, get this, and remember, no idea who this person is, ___ just met her--she came for brunch today and paid for everyone, including the usual clan!! For hospitality she said, and what she wanted in return was for us to do it for someone else sometime, if the chance arose. Did I mention that this woman was in an accident and spent three mos in a coma? Came out of it a bit phys. disabled, but sharp as a tack--she's a legal clerk, and writing a history of her beloved football team, who helped her immensely during recovery. Now everyone is at the big game, my friends are coming to watch Enterprise at seven, and did I mention I had a real good work week? Lots more, including Spooky nominations, buying groceries, Christmas is coming and, oh, the fish and shrimp and even whale blubber, and all manner of good things abound.
So, I end today's blah blah by saying a huge HUGE thank you to all the good people in my world--I'm very grateful to have you in my life.
