Bright Side of Life--Life of
Brian
Well, after five glorious weeks of work, where
things went better than I thought, for the most part. Where I met new friends
and enjoyed the company of old ones. Where my biggest fears about the job
were completely unfounded. And where I found out that folks aren't any
smarter, or better, or more special than I am...
BAM!
I was doing great, earning perks, doing well on
exams (well, hah! I got a hundred on the final after practicum for God's
sake!) actually sort of enjoying the job, all that stuff.
And then those bitches ripped the rug right out
from under me.
Not only am I on the three to midnight shift,
so I can't bartend, volunteer or spend time with friends, online and off,
no, not only that, but they treated me like a sack of shit when I disputed
it. Even though I'd asked for days in writing, etc. So I'm totally bitter.
I came home Friday and just cried and cried. I'm already so damn socially
retarded I can barely stand to be around anyone, and now I won't even have
the chance to change that. I feel like I'm going to turn into a cat lady
or something...I already talk to the fish...won't be long now...
And it was all going so well.
But the big bros stepped in and reminded me that
I'm still valuable, and that if my life can't always be adaptable to them,
they'll adapt to me too, and that went a long way in making it a bit better.
Also talked to the other gal they shafted big time, and she's willing to
kinda be my 'buddy in arms' over this, so I'm not totally alone in my war
with TPTB. That helped too.
The rest I guess we'll just play by ear. I'm not
sure what's going to happen, or how it will affect me, but for sure I'll
be fighting it every step of the way.
So, a little whistle and some Eric Idle, and hopefully
He'll keep up the good work He does in making things turn out right such
a ridiculous amount of the time.
Thanks again, all my woodland creatures.
ps ___, I sure do hope you get better soon.
Bright Side of Life-OST Life Of Brian
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistling]
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistling]
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...
Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistling]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistling]
Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke. It's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
