Seriously, ICP weekend was amazing. I was so tired and stressed out that I figured I would have a stroke before the end of it, but APU, my friends and my community conspired to make me feel like it was all worth it. I learned to make perogies and red velvet cake. Everyone adored the food on Friday and I gave a little speech. We had 20 more people than I expected and sold all the shooters. The bar was slower but Andrea sold pics and ptcs sold lots of stuff. I didn't sell 300 leaves, but I sold a few--bout 800 bucks going to Children's Wish by the time ball comes around.Thomas and Martin (Luba and Ima) hosted Ukranian lady style and they sneaked my COUGARS into town for a surprise! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone had a great time Friday and were all super helpful and I was able to be pretty relaxed for the most part. Brian was hi, Mitchell was drunk, Ryan was too drunk. That was about it for drama, pretty minor really. Thane was fucking amazing!
Saturday, OMG! My room turned out beautiful thanks to so many volunteers! You can see a bit of it here. Yay Jungle!! Yay Sentinel. Eldon from Alaska, who was a perogy virgin, hosted with Neal and they were awesome!!! The show was brilliant! Thomas doing I Eat Cannibals and Jeremy's visit from Winnipeg as Tarzan and Yada's bananas and Neal singing "Somewhere That's Green" and Kricket and Mitchell trying to make me cry and Jenny's boobs and all the great jungle themes. And then my fabulous Entertainers of the Year doing FGTH's Power of Love as Mulder and Skinner! Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then I got so drunk after the show I had shades of grey and don't remember "bouncing" as the kids say, or getting home for that matter--but no hangover the next day and we made lots more money.
Mostly ha ha unforgettable weekend!!
I'm full time training now and start my new hire class on July 9. I can't believe I leave for CA in four freakin' days!!! eek!! So not ready. And last thought, even though I could go on and on about everyone and everything that has been amazing and so on, for days and days (but I have a pride BBQ to put on in a couple hours) frankly, I miss the fuck outta my bunny and I expect that among other things was a great motivator for drunk meltdown 2007! Please God let him be okay.
Oh yeah, last last thought--Cream Girls was amazing--I knew it would be--and I hear Mitchell even knew his words--I didn't go mostly because I needed the time, partially cos it was 15 bucks and not at the bar, and also cos, well, you know, all that crap drama blar de blar stuff. Meh. Still an amazing show, sold out, lots of money for the bursary and I hear the Casino wants them in the show lounge! :)
