BODY AND BLOOD

MATTHEW 26:26-28:
And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread and blessed and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said,
"take, eat; this my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them saying,
drink you all, of it; for this is my blood of the NEW TESTAMENT, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins.
QUESTION:
Did Jesus mean to say that in the "cup" was wine miraculously turned into his blood, and bread, his flesh?
In the Gospel of John 6:53 it states,
"Truly, truly I say unto you, except you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood you have no life in you.
Many people do not rightly divide the "Word of Truth".
Many would rather trust others to interpret the scriptures for them. Jesus says, "You can know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
In John 6:45, it says, "It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God" You need not a man to teach you. The preacher's job is to direct you to the HOLY SPIRIT to draw from Gods source of comfort and guidance.
The Holy Spirit is provided to lead you in truth and understanding, as well as to show you things to come. (JOHN 16:13)
In John 6:47-48 Jesus says. "Truly, truly I say unto you. He who believes on me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life."
What Jesus is saying is, believing on him is by comparison, likened to eating food to sustain your body.
John 6:51 can simply be stated this way:
"EAT=RECEIVE=BELIEVE"
Paul states in second Corinthians 3:6.
"The letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life" Paul was a religious Jew, a "Pharisee" He was knowledgeable in the "Law of Moses" and the Old Testament.
He went out to persecute the Christians. Many today are knowledgeable in a "Letter of the word understanding" of Gods word. It was only after Paul met up with Jesus on the road to Damascus, and after Jesus restored Paul's eyesight, (a beautiful "picture" of what Jesus does when you receive him as Lord and Savior) Jesus, by the "Holy Spirit" removed the shackles of Paul's understanding.
Paul began to be taught by God and was able to finally see the true path of salvation. Instead of condemning to death, as is common today in many churches, he was transformed and became a vessel of healing.
In Galatians 1:11-12, Paul confirms, "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel, which was preached of me, is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ".
Paul just stated that Jesus taught him "Personally".
It is the same today.
In John 6:53-54 Jesus says, "it is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak are spirit and they are life"
When Jesus taught he did it many times in "Picture image fashion" When he spoke to the farmer, he spoke in terms a farmer could clearly understand.
When he spoke to the fishermen, he spoke in terms and images a fisherman could easily understand. In John 6:53 Jesus is creating another "Picture image". In fact, when he describes through the image of "Breaking bread and drinking wine" Jesus is describing what he is going to accomplish on the cross,
and reminding the world that there is only one way, one path to salvation.
You must receive him into your life, hence, the image of eating and drinking. Food and drink is health for the flesh.
Jesus is health for your eternal soul and more.
John the "Baptist" said in John 1:29 "Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world". Let's take a look at the sacrificial lamb.
In Exodus the first command God told Moses concerning the children of Israel, was about the sacrificial lamb. You will see how God is describing a "Picture image" of Jesus.
In Exodus 12:5, the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron and said, "Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year (Or first born)" They were instructed to take the lamb into their homes to have the lamb dwell among them from the tenth day to the fourteenth day of the first month.
On the fourteenth day, at evening the "Whole of Israel" was to kill the lamb. (A perfect description of what happened to Jesus, at his crucifixion) "And at evening Jesus gave up his Spirit" (MATTHEW 27:46-50)
In Exodus God told them to sprinkle the blood on the lintel and side posts of their dwelling and also to eat the lamb in that night. This is an outward expression of faith in the God of Israel, as well as a "Picture Image" symbolic of receiving the pardoning power of the sacrifice of Gods lamb, Jesus Christ.
"For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will smite the first born in the land of Egypt, (The first born represents "the heir to the inheritance") both man and beast and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute
judgment: I am the Lord." "And the blood shall be to you for a token, upon the houses where you are." (Exodus 12-13) All who covered their dwellings with the blood were spared. A token is a sign or symbol or "Picture Image"
Exodus 12:13, "when I see the blood, I will pass over you" In John 6:53 that's exactly what Jesus was saying. He was showing himself to be Gods
"passover" lamb.
The token gesture of breaking bread and drinking wine as Jesus spoke, is a
symbolic expression of the great mercy and love of God toward us.
A toast to the truth if you will.
The killing of the "First Born" in Egypt the heir of the inheritance, clearly demonstrates, to inherit the "KINGDOM OF GOD", you must come by the sacrifice
that God appointed, "JESUS CHRIST" The righteous.
Let the Spirit of God teach you and keep you.
God wants to reveal all his heavenly treasures through his son "Jesus Christ".
I pray that this opens the understanding of all and sets free the captives of the
doctrine of men, and the trickery of the devil.
In Jesus' name I ask.
