  Yet the LORD hath not given you a heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.  Deuteronomy  29:4

  If you want ‘Ears” to hear and “Eyes” to see and a heart to perceive all that Jesus is doing here in these last days then you need the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Many churches do not allow the workings of the Holy Spirit within the walls of their sanctuary. They are afraid of the supernatural. The devil has tricked and confused them. It was the same in Jesus’ day. Yes they believed in miracles but the miracles had to come through the hoops of their theology if not, then it couldn’t possibly be God. Israel rejected Jesus as their Messiah even though they saw the miracles he did and even though he fulfilled the scriptures written of him in exact detail.

   Why?  

  They had the Word so why did they miss out on the blessing? Because they didn’t have Divine understanding. They were as Paul said, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” If you do not have divine understanding you’ll miss out on all that God is doing. My God! Today most of the people coming out of the seminaries don’t even believe in the virgin birth of Jesus let alone a return of Jesus to the earth. Ever learning! And knowing nothing! Blind Guides!  

The workings of the Holy Spirit are many times contrary to the way we think. Just consider the indignation some churches would have if a person was to in the middle of the preachers’ sermon to suddenly be moved of the Holy Ghost and started speaking in tongues of angels and then someone else sprang to their feet with an interpretation of the tongues? Yet these gifts of the Spirit were common in the early church and the religious group of the day was indignant to it. That’s why most of the miracles Jesus did happened outside the Temple. There was “No room at the Inn”  The devil has fought hard to quench the movement of the Spirit of God in the churches today, because he knows that where the Spirit is there is liberty and victory. Victory for living and power to overcome the devices and snares of darkness.

Consider the early church. Most couldn’t read or write yet they had the gifts of the Spirit manifesting freely. The gifts of healing, discernment of spirits, the knowledge of the truth, Peace and great joy with an overpowering love from the heart of Jesus. All these are a function of the Holy Ghost and without the Spirit you cannot have any of it. But some would rather sit in their dirty ashes of religion and dead works but you can’t put new wine into old bottles. Let me tell you If the devil can keep you ignorant then he can keep Deaf, Dumb and Blind.

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost enables you to perceive and understand the handiwork of Jesus. Jesus is spontaneous. Jesus, by his Spirit will show you things to come. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the only way to have communion with God. They that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth, for the Father seeks such to worship him. You can have the “Unction” from the Holy One and can know all things. It’s promised to you.

The Holy Spirit causes you to understand the true meaning of the scriptures. He enlightens you to the truth.

 “Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”( Romans  11:33)

 Here is a man who was perhaps the most knowledgeable person of scripture in his day yet until he met up with Jesus all his knowledge was as nothing and unprofitable. You see Jesus has to teach you. You can’t figure it out as if your own intellect could ever reveal it to you. This would be simply impossible. Simply put, you just can’t do it on your own.

 Jesus puts his truth in your heart and not as mere words on a page. Jesus is the living word of God and by the Holy Spirit you come alive to him. Peter by demonstration of the Spirit of God understood that Jesus had put no difference between the Jew and the Gentile.

 Understanding begins to flood your soul even without reading it. This is the way Paul understood, by revelation of the Holy Ghost. Consider what Paul says to the Corinthian church: “Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.” There is a letter understanding and a Spirit understanding and the two are opposed to each other. One by the intellect of man the other a gift of God through the Holy Ghost. The Father does this on purpose to confound the wise.

   Can anyone say Praise the Lord? 

  The Spirit of God makes you alive to the presence of the Almighty. Without the Spirit of God you’ll be a minister of death. The Pharisees were ministers of death. Jesus called them tombs that appear not. In others words, “Houses of death” They appeared beautiful to men but they were full of all uncleanness.

Jesus says no man can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again. Being born again is not joining some group like some sort of denomination of Christianity rather it is a personal relationship that is open to all who want it regardless of denomination. Jesus didn’t come to start denominations anyway.

You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Jesus wants to have a relationship with you, personal and intimate, a love affair with your Savior. That is how he is with all of his children. He sticks closer than a brother. Jesus cleaves to you, a perfect union with you and the Lord. You can count on Jesus.  In this world Jesus makes you an over comer and he fills you with Joy and peace beyond human understanding. Jesus came to give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy in place of the heavy heart, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

 Glory to God!

 He gives Joy beyond measure! A suit of Armor made of the fabric of the Holy Ghost, woven in the Blood of the Lamb. Hallelujah!

  Folks we are living in the end time. God is bringing this world to it’s conclusion as we know it.  The final stage is being set. We are on the threshold of the Rapture. Antichrist will come to power and after great tribulation Jesus will come and set up the Kingdom of God on earth. But before these things unfold the Rapture will take place. The Rapture is the catching away of the body of Christ to safety by Jesus before this time of trouble. The return of Jesus at the rapture shouldn’t take you by surprise. All you need is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost to see it.

Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 21:34-36

  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

How do you get the baptism of the Holy Ghost? You go to Jesus and ask for it. Jesus is the one who baptizes with the Holy Ghost. Receive the Savior into your life. Say, “Jesus I believe you paid the price for me a sinner and I thank you.” “Come into my life Lord Jesus.”

I’ll share a secret with you. One morning I awoke and Jesus spoke to me and said, “If you want eyes to see then praise me and just as King David understood so shall you.”

Some of you should read what David did. David wasn’t perfect but he praised God continually and the Holy Spirit came upon him and spoke future prophecies of the details of Jesus’ life through the Psalms being confirmed by the New Testament writers. In fact, there are at least ninety such revelations in the Psalms concerning Jesus. The Holy Spirit will focus your attention on Jesus and testify of his saving unmerited grace.

  Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. Psalms 89:15

Since that morning, I have done as the Lord said and heavens windows have opened wide. Believe me there have been many days that my flesh didn’t want to make the time to praise the Lord but you must overcome that. The devil will put every excuse in your path not to, but do it anyway. I’m telling you rivers of living water will flow out of you and understanding of the truth of God’s word will just happen.

Lord Jesus, I’m believing for the captives to be set free and for your children to have their understanding opened. You are their teacher and they have no need for another. Amen.
