Come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly of heart: and you shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

We are all foolish and do foolish things many times. Making mistakes is a part of our instruction and growth. Through our own error and failure we learn to become less judgmental and more merciful and understanding toward the errors of others. However do not hang your head in shame for your failures. Sometimes we feel that what we have done is so awful that surely Jesus will no longer want anything to do with us. Stop Listening to the lies of the devil!

Our God is a God of “Second Chances” In fact the moment you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior he applied the blood of his sacrifice to your life and blotted out the remembrance of any sin you have ever committed or will ever commit. (Psalms 103:12)

The Apostle Peter walked with Jesus daily. Peter saw the miracles, the blind eyes opened, the deaf ears unstopped and even the dead raised to life again. Yet, in a weak moment, when he was afraid he three times denied even knowing Jesus. When the rooster crowed (Matthew 26:75), Peter remembered what Jesus told him he would do before it happened. Peter also remembered how unwaveringly he told Jesus that he would never deny him and how he would lay his life down for him. (Matthew 26:33-35) Can you imagine the guilt Peter had felt? Peter Wept Bitterly. We have wept Bitterly over our failures, sins and bad choices. Our hearts heavy with the weight of these burdens, knowing that many times by our own free will we have planted the seeds of our present trouble. Don't worry, you are in a good place for a miracle...The Apostle Paul understood failures. In 2nd Corinthians 12:7-9 Paul speaks of a "Thorn in his flesh" and how he sought the Lord three times on this matter and what did Jesus say to Paul? "My Grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." (Just a side note: Paul's thorn in his flesh was not "Bad Eyesight" Jesus healed Paul of that when Ananias laid his hands on him and the scales fell from Paul's eyes. Acts 9:4-18)

Fear not! Our God understands. Jesus endured the flesh, he lived on this earth as a man and understands your trials and disappointments and he understands your weakness. Jesus said the flesh is weak. (Mark 14: 38) lift up your head and as a “Kings Kid” learn from your failure, learn the depth of his love and that it is endless. When you learn that the love of Jesus is endless and are rooted on this foundation, you become “seasoned” and equipped to strengthen others who endure their own difficult times and issues. Didn’t Jesus tell Peter, “Simon, Simon, behold Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not: when you are converted, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 22:31-32) Yep, the devil desired to have you, but Jesus interceded in your behalf. Devil; take your hands off God’s property!

Second Opportunities Await YOU.

In the Book of Numbers and the 13th chapter, God commands Moses to send the leaders of each tribe of Israel to scout out Canaan’s land, the “Promised Land” All the spy’s but two came back with reports of Fear, Giants, Walled Cities and obstacles too perilous to allow them to enter into God’s Promised Land. But Caleb, one of the faithful spy’s stilled the people before Moses and said, Let us go up at once and possess it (Canaan’s Land) For we are able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30) Caleb remembered how God Delivered Israel from Egypt and for their sakes brought the plagues on Egypt to gain their deliverance. It was clear to Caleb how God had thus far preserved Israel in the wilderness. Caleb held fast to the promise of God despite the disbelief of others and what he may have observed with his natural eye. Caleb had the attitude that God had brought them this far and God would fulfill his promise. Caleb was ready and willing to go forth.

Sometimes going forth with Jesus can feel like a lonely place. Remember this, You and God are a majority! The devil will try to bring all types of voices against you to discourage you; he will cast fear in your path. When you go forth to possess what Jesus has promised you, there will be “Walled Cities” There may be a Walled City around your Finances, your health or a relationship etc., but just as God brought down the walls of Jericho, you shout the praises of God and believe and the Walls will fall for you as well. God is no respecter of person, if he did it once he will do it again. Don’t give in to the lies of your enemy. Stand strong, your victory is already assured. It was promised right? Stand strong. When you see an obstacle in your path, laugh at the devil; tell him that he already lost the war! He lost it two thousand years ago on Calvary. Amen!

In Mark 4:35-41 Jesus said,” Let us pass over to the other side.” And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship asleep on a pillow: and they awake him and say unto him, Master carest thou not that we perish? And he arose and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, ‘Peace be still” And the winds ceased and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

To Jesus it didn’t matter how raging the sea became or how ferocious the wind blew, he said, “We are going to the other side.” There was no way that the boat would have sank, the Father wouldn’t allow it.

God means what he says and says what he means.

Paul says be dressed for the battle, that you may be able to withstand the evil day. And having done all to stand, Stand therefore.” (Ephesians 6:13-14) Fear not! Jesus has come to restore that which was stolen! Amen! The devil tries to steal from you everyday. We have listened to the liar and had our treasure invaded and stolen, but God is going to give it back to you this very day. Thank you Jesus.

Lord Jesus, pour out your Holy Spirit on your children. Fill them to overflowing. I bind the Spirit of fear! Thank you Father in the Name of Jesus I ask Amen.

If this teaching has been a blessing to you..Be a blessing  to others and pass it on....
