Here is a comparison of Tanach [Old testament] and New Testament scripture. Both declare the same thing although the book of Revelations goes a bit further describing the exact length of the coming occupation of Israel by the Gentile nations, which are also described in many other places in the Tanach. Ezekiel’s blueprint does not match any dimensions of the previous temples. Both Revelations and Ezekiel declare that a portion of the Temple grounds from the previous temples is not included in the soon to be built third temple.

Considering the political landscape of Jerusalem today, one could easily see why this court of the temple is left out of God’s blueprint; there is just no room for it with the Dome being there and the Moslems will not sacrifice their Dome to have a Jewish Temple built. Some have said that something will happen to the Dome in order to clear the way for the new Temple to be built however the Bible is very clear, both will sit side by side. The third Temple will be built before the prophesied occupation occurs.

Lets take a quick look:

Here is where Ezekiel and Revelation confirm each other. The most revealing part of Ezekiel’s blueprint is what is NOT mentioned. Ezekiel never mentions a southern outer court in his temple blueprint. This is where the Dome of the Rock sits further proving that the coming Temple on Moriah [Temple Mount] will be located north of the Dome. Further proof is gleaned from the record of Ezekiel when he describes [chapter 40] what he calls a city on the south. The word for city here means a building or a camp not a metropolis. Also this building clearly is said to sit on the Holy Temple Mount. Jerusalem merely surrounds it but it is not on it.

This court that is without the temple is the court of the Gentiles. In Herod’s Temple the court of the Gentiles was the southern outer court that Herod had enlarged, which apparently is considered to be without or outside the temple periphery. As with Ezekiel, this courtyard is also excluded here in the Revelations account, for the very same reasons.

Also in light of the obscure article reported by Arutz Sheva (IsraelNN.com) in regards to report of Synagogue building by the Palestinian Authority titled ‘PA Continues To Report Synagogue Building Under Temple Mount’

The Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to report that Israel is building a synagogue "97 meters [318 ft.] away from the Dome of Rock as part of the ongoing excavation work under al-Aqsa mosque and also constructed at least seven rooms under it...furnished with the historical monuments of the Jewish history." The PA news services continued disseminating the story despite the vehement objections from Israeli authorities.

An Islamic news source reports that US $8 million have been raised to dig a tunnel from the West to the East of the Al-Aqsa Sanctuary (Temple Mount) going right under the golden domed Mosque Qubaatus Sakhra. [Dome of the Rock]

Not that Israel is building a temple but it makes sense that an exploratory tunnel could be underway in light of a rabbinical council called the Sanhedrin, newly reconstituted after 1600 years, convened early in 2005 to discuss the location of the former temples [reported by Arutz Sheva] Further, as was reported by World Net Daily in June 2005 the Sanhedrin wished to obtain detailed architectural plans for the reconstruction of the Jewish Holy Temple. This is the very same council that delivered Jesus to be crucified.

What is exciting to me is the location of where they are searching. Did I say searching? It is not coincidence that the alleged tunnel is declared to be 318 ft away from the Dome. It is clear that the tunnel is NORTH of the Dome and not under it or it could not be 318 ft. from the Dome. That is within twenty-five feet of the Holy of Holies portion of the Temple where the Ark of the Covenant, the golden chest that contain the two tablets with the Ten Commandments written on it by God himself once stood.

Considering the biblical accounts of Ezekiel and Revelations I believe the news accounts confirm that the former location of the previous Temples has been discovered.
