(Note: If you have a printer it is wise to print these instructions. It makes it much easier to follow along.)
Go to any one of these sites and select your sparkle.
When you click on the sparkle you want to use hit your "Options" key, then "Go To" and "Show Last". CC&P the "Addy" into your "Find Box".
To CC&P you press your Cmd+A to highlight the addy, then press your Cmd+C to copy the url. You chould hear a click when the url is copied. To paste the "URL" into another window you press Cmd+V.
Now Go to Banner Generator and:
Type Your Name
Font Type- I used Black Chancery
Font Size- 60
Border- 0
Text Color- White (PC users will want to use a darker color)
Background Color- Transparent
User Type- WebTv
Click on "Submit"
On the next page click on "Here" at the top of the page. On the next page you should see your "Name/Banner". Hit your "Options" - "GoTo" and click on "ShowLast" then copy (Cmd+A then Cmd+C) the "Url" of your "Name/Banner".
Now you want to take your name to Gifworks. Erase the http:// and paste (Cmd+V) the url from Banner Generator in the box and click Fetch. On the next page click on "Edit" and then on "Smart Crop". This will get rid of the unnecessary space around the name and reduce the file size. Click on "File" then "Save". On the next page scroll down to where it says: "Webtv Users Click Here". Copy (Cmd+A then Cmd+C)the "Url".
Go to Image Magick
Delete what is in the box and paste (Cmd+V) the "Url" of the "Name/Banner" in the box and click on "View".
On the next page you should see your "Name/Banner, click on "Composite" at the top of the page. Scroll down the page and delete the http:// in the box. Hit your "Find Key" and copy (Cmd+A then Cmd+C) the "Url" of the "Sparkle" and paste (Cmd+V) the "Url" into the box.
Scroll down the page and check
Gravity- North
Location- +0+0
Scroll down the page and click on "IN" in the drop down and put a check the box that says "Miscellaneous Options"
Scroll back up the page and click on "Composite" under Gravity.
On the next page you should see your "Name/Banner". Scroll back up to the top of the page and click on "Output". Scroll down the next page and check:
.gif in the "Format Box"
Check "Multi-Frame File"
Then "Output"
Scroll down the page and put a 10 in the "Delay Box"
Next, put a Zero 0 in the "Loop Box"
Scroll back up the page and click on: "Press To Output"
(NOTE: The "Lower" the number, that is placed in the "Delay Box", the "Faster" your Name or Banner, will animate. The "Higher" the number, that is in the box, you will "Slow" down the animation of your Name or Banner)
On the next page, you should see your "Finished Name". Scroll down the page and click on your "Name". Hit your "Options" - "GoTo" and then click on "Show Last" and copy (Cmd+A Cmd+C) the "Temp Addy" of your "Name" and "Transload" or "Upload" to your Server.
