The National Recovery Administration (NRA)

The NRA helped workers and employers cooperate to work out contracts so that they wouldn't have to go on strike and disrupt business. They also made industrial codes. A so-called blanket code for all industries was adopted, and over 500 codes were introduced to all types of industries. The Blue Eagle was the sign of the NRA. They asked firms to display the sign. The NRA was declared unconstitutional after businesses felt that the codes were too complicated and that the NRA was too rigid. The NRA helped to set minimum wages and to help set working conditions.
