I Left the World Tonight

I left the world tonight,

Safe and warm in God's arms I will eternally lay.

My Spirit left this World long ago,

Now my battered and broken body,

Has also made the choice to find it's way.

Seeking Peace and Serenity in a Heavenly home,

This Child now and forever is safe from inflicted harm.

My Biological Father teased and tormented,

Hit and screamed at me.

He touched me in secret places,

Now a grown woman I will never be.

In Heaven I will have a new Father,

A respectful loving master to soothe away the stench,

of the other's unkind touch,

and his wicked speaking breath.

My Earthly Mother turned an eye to the Eastern land,

For what she never cast her eyes upon,

She never had to see.

What screams she never heard,

She never knew came from me.

My Heavenly Mother's name is Mary,

She promises me a better life,

My child's Soul a gift given to her from her only son,

A chance for her to take back the sins of my Father,

And right the wrong that he has done to me.

I have no need to cry here,

No begging for my life,

No terror coming into my room,

At any hour of the night.

I am no longer hungry,

No bruises for me to hide,

I wish I brought my Sister,

She too deserves a different kind of life.

I was told never to ask for Death,

And I promise I never really did.

I only wept for a chance to go to Heaven,

For in hell I have already lived.

In Heaven I will be only touched lovingly,

Through breath, sight and sound.

No one to tell me I am worthless here,

For in Heaven each child's Soul,

is worth far more than their Earthly Parents,

will ever comprehend.........
