Cryptics are a phrase that has each normal letter in a word replaced by another letter as code. Throughout a puzzle the letter code used remains the same. But each new puzzle has a whole different code set again

SOLVING CRYPTICS TIPS
1. GENERAL
look for letter patterns
look for common words repeated eg. the, a , I, people
look for vowels.
Similar words the, they
take a guess at a possible word if it works puzzle will usually become solvable. If it doesn't well start on another copy of the puzzle.

2. SPANKED TO THE LETTER PUZZLES
Look for common spanking words
Spanking, bottom (unique letter combination in the middle)
Paddle, bare bottom, bare bum etc.
