Take away my built-in defenses. Remove all the barriers that prevent healing and my accepting fully Your love for me and my family members. I look forward to the time in which Your work will be completed and I believe that I will be an instrument of that healing for my entire family.
Jesus, I ask for the grace I need to forgive all who have ever hurt me. I ask to be representative of my family in receiving grace to pray for all who have hurt any members of my family, individually or collectively. I ask forgiveness from all whom we have hurt. Heal us of all experiences that have made us feel guilty and ashamed, that have caused us to reject ourselves and to reject one another. Heal me of ridicule and of any incidents in my life or in the lives of my family members that have made us feel unworthy or inferior.
(Take time for the Holy Spirit to bring incidents to your mind.)
Surround me with Your light, Jesus, and penetrate the very depths of my being with that light. Let there remain no areas of darkness in me or in my family members, but transform our whole being with the healing light of Your love. Open me completely to receive Your love, Jesus. Thank You for being our family healer and my personal healer.

Just a little thought for the day!
She had been shopping with her Mom in Wal-Mart.
She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful brown
haired, freckle-faced image of innocence.
It was pouring outside, the kind of rain that gushes over the tops of rain gutters.
So much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout.
Drains in the nearby parking lot, were filled to capacity and some
were blocked so that huge puddles laced around parked cars.
We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Walmart.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature
messed up their hurried day.
I am always mesmerized by rain fall.
I get lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing
away the dirt and dust of the world.
Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child come pouring in
as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
Her voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all
caught in."Mom, let's run through the rain," she said.
"What?" Mom asked. "Let's run through the rain!" she repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated
"Mom, let's run through the rain."
"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom.
That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said
as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
"This morning?
"When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"
"Don't you remember?" When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer,
you said,'If God can get us through this, He can get us through anything!'
The entire crowd stopped dead silent.
I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently.
No one came or left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say.
Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly.
Some might even ignore what was said.
But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life.
A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will
bloom into faith. "Honey, you are absolutely right,
let's run through the rain.
If God let's us get wet, well maybe we
just needed washing," Mom said. Then off they ran.
We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past
the cars and yes through the puddles.
They held their shopping bags over their heads.
Just in case, they got soaked.
But they were followed by a few who screamed and
laughed like children all the way to their cars.
I want to believe that some where down the road in life,
Mom will find herself, reflecting back on moments they spent together,
captured like pictures in the scrapbook of her cherished memories.
Maybe when she watches proudly as her daughter graduates,or as her
Daddy walks her down the aisle on her wedding day.
She will laugh again. Her heart will beat a little faster.
Her smile will tell the world they love each other.
But only they will share that precious moment when they ran
through th rain believing that God would get them through.
And Yes, I did. I ran.I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they
can take away your money, they can take away your health.
But no one can ever take away your precious memories.......
So, don't forget to make time and take the
opportunities to make memories every day!
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN!

I learned a new prayer, (and surely one could add spouse here) to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Amen Anne
At a Marian Movement of Priests cenacle last week
I don't know the origin but it really spoke to me perhaps others would like
to include it when they say their rosary.
With this Rosary, I bind all of my children
Mary.
I don't know a Catholic who doesn't have one, or more, children who
are not
practicing the faith,
myself included, so this short prayer spoke volumes to my heart.
The Novena
1. The Sign of the Cross
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
2. Opening Prayer (optional): You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. (DIARY, 1319)
Now, On the Three Small Beads say the:
3.An Our Father,
4.A Hail Mary
5. The Apostles Creed
6. On the "Our Father" beads prior to each decade: Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
7. On the "Hail Mary" beads of each decade:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
8. After Five decades, the concluding doxology
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (three times)
9. Closing Prayer (optional): Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not dispair, nor become dispondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy Itself. Amen. (950)
">In 1933, God gave Sister Faustina a striking vision of His Mercy, Sister tells us"I saw a great light, with God the Father in the midst of it. Between this light and the earth I saw Jesus nailed to the Cross and in such a way that God, wanting to look upon the earth, had to look through Our Lord's wounds. And I understood that God blessed the earth for the sake of Jesus."
Of another vision on Sept. 13, 1935, she writes:
"I saw an Angel, the executor of God's wrath... about to strike the earth...I began to beg God earnestly for the world with words which I heard interiorly. As I prayed in this way, I saw the Angel's helplessness, and he could not carry out the just punishment...."
The following day an inner voice taught her to say this prayer on ordinary rosary beads:
"First say one 'Our Father', 'Hail Mary', and 'I believe'. Then on the large beads say the following words:
'Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.'
On the smaller beads you are to say the following words:
'For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.'
In conclusion you are to say these words three times:
'Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world'.
Jesus said later to Sister Faustina:
"Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet even once, will receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I want the whole world to know My Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy...."
"....When they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person not as the just judge but as the Merciful Savior".
