Myrtle Wahl

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Wahl, age 53, wife of Edward, 331 Hanover St., who died of complications Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, wil be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in the Colligan Funeral Home, 425 Walnut St, and at 2:30 o'clock in the West Side Church of God. Rev. Edward Steenbergen, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening.

She was born in Hamilton daughter of William and Lucy Cline Willey, February 17, 1885. On December 25, 1902, she married Edward Wahl.

Surviving are the Widower, the parents; five sons, Charles Wahl, Central, New Mexcio. George, Joseph, Clliford and Raymond Wahl, all of Hamilton; five daughters, Mrs William Gray, Mrs Geneva Baker, Mrs. William Wysong, and Miss Myrtle Wahl, all of Hamilton, and Mrs. Kirby Newman, Rigby, Idaho

. Three brothers, Gilford and John Nash, both of Hamilton, George Nash, St. Louis, Mo., and 22 grandchildren.

In Loving Memory of Edward C. Wahl, Succumbs at 85

Edward Charles Wahl, 85, 226 South B St. died Tuesday at 6 a.m. in Mercy Hospital where he had been a patient since last Thursday when he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at home.

He was born January 2, 1874, in Milan Ohio, a son of John and Eva Wahl. He recieved his education in the Milan public schools. On December 24, 1899, he married Myrtle Willey in Milan Ohio, were the couple resided untill 1918, when they came to Hamilton.

To the union were born five sons, and five daughters. For 26 years, Mr. Wahl was employed at the Champion Paper and Fibre Co. where he was held in high esteem. He retired in 1940.

An amiable man, Mr. Wahl was widely known in the community and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died in 1939, one son Pvt. Raymond Wahl, killed in action in Belguim during World War II, and one daughter, Mrs. Mrytle May Smith, who died in 1944. Members of Family

He leaves four sons, George Wahl, Joseph Wahl, and Clifford Wahl, all of Hamilton, and Charles Wahl, Bath, Indiana; four daughters, Mrs. Bernice Owens, Mrs. Florence Gray and Mrs. Ada Wysong, all of Hamilton, and Mrs Mildred Newman, Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, two sisters, 48 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the David Webb and Sons Funeral Home, Ross Ave. and South D St., Friday at 10 a.m., the Rev T.J. Steenbergen, pastor of the New Miami Church of God, officating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 4 p.m. Thursday

Rites Thursday for Pfc. Wahl

Full military rites for Pfc. Raymond J. Wahl, son of Edward Wahl, 315 Sount B. Street, who was killed in action in Belgium, December 16, 1944, will be held Thursday afternoon, 2 o'clock, from the Webb funeral home, South D Street and Ross Avenue, with the Rev. T.J. Steenbergen of the Gordon Avenue Church of God officating.

Burial will be in Greenwood. Friends may call Wednesday after 4 o'clock at the funeral home. Born in Hamilton, October 26, 1922, he was the son of Edward and Myrtle Willey Wahl.

Private Wahl was 22 years old when killed, . He was inducted into military service December 26, 1942, and went overseas in August, 1944, where he was assigned to a tank destroyer unit.

Prior to induction he was employed with Milton's Poultry Company. He leaves his father, one son, Thomas David Wahl, Hamilton, four brothers, George, Charles, Joseph and Cliff, all of Hamilton; and four sisters, Mrs. Florence Gray, Mrs. Ada Wysong, Mrs. Geneva Thomas, all of Hamilton; and Mrs. Kirby Newman, Rigby, Idaho.

Clifford Wahl

Clifford Wahl, age 81, of Ross Twonship, passed away at the Lillian Huston Center, Thursday, October 5, 2000, at 2:30 a.m.

He was born in Norwalk, Ohio on May 19, 1919, the son of Edward and Myrtle (Willey) Wahl.

Clifford was a veteran of World War II with the United States Army, form 1941 to 1945.

He was employed as a roofer for numerous companies for 35 years, retiring in 1980.

Clifford was a loving uncle and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, especially his niece Janet Wyatt and her husband Carl, and their three son, Michael, Carl Wayne, and Gary.

He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.

Furneral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funreal Home, 330 Pershing Ave, Saturday, October 7, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Fenton, of the Talawanda Baptist Church officating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visition will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m.
