A Muslim woman can be recognized by the
way she dresses, but does she really dress so differently?
It is interesting that in the Bible women are commanded to cover themselves, yet this is something they too often overlook. They (not all) claim that a Muslim woman is oppressed because of the way she dresses when in fact a Muslim woman covers herself purely for the sake of pleasing our Creator. Muslim women do not pick and choose which parts of the Holy Book (Qur'an) we choose to follow, it is taken as a whole.

The
purpose of the coverings is fundamentally to give honor and
protection for the women from animistic ways , that a man or
women can behave at some point or other. (Bible, Genesis 24:65)
The Covering , since a divine command, is an act of worship and obedience to the CREATOR. (Bible, 1 Corinthian 11:6, 1 Timothy 2:9)
The Covering is an act of Purity , self restraining the mind and soul of the user and embodying a spiritual as well as a motherhood nature of the women (Bible, Titus 2:3)
The covering is an act of Faith in God and by covering herself , she has acted upon it. (Bible, 1Peter 3:1, 1 Corinthian 11:6 & 14:34 )
The Covering, indicates the nature of women, that they posses Bashfulness and weakness. (Bible, Deuteronomy 22:5)
The covering provides dignity to the women , that she is virtuous, Chaste and one that needs protection , due to her nature and her bodily abilities. ( Bible, Ezekiel 16:15)

Look at the Christian nun or even
a picture indicating Mary the mother of Jesus, and you will find
that they had obeyed God by covering themselves, how about you ?
The guidance given in the Qur'an is irrevocable by men and without a blemish, these instructions are given for the benefit of human society and is proven beyond doubt by taking a close look at modern society where molestation, rape, adultery and a general degradation of women is accepted and cultivated by making them a product to be held and used and abused.
The wanton display of beauty (women in general) is so great right now in our society. Women are confronted by television ads, magazines at the grocery check-out, manaquins at the mall, sales people, etc., promoting scanty clothes, make-up, age defying lotions and potions. How much time and money is wasted trying to be something you're not or trying to impress others by keeping up with the latest styles? It's time to start enjoying living life as the beautiful person you truely are without falling for the advertising hype! Women have become more like objects and less like the valuable people we were meant to be. I would much rather be known for my knowledge, my compassion, my moral character, my love of life and the love I have for my family than to be known by the fashionable way I dress or my latest hairstyle or the make-up I wear. As a chaste, modest, pure woman, the Muslim woman does not want her sexuality to be part of her interactions with men.
The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stated that in later generations there would be "women who would be dressed but naked and on top of their heads (what looks like) camel humps. Curse them for they are truly cursed." (reported by Muslim)
This was written during the 600's, take a look around you and see if it has started to be true.

of modern society is well reflected in the Bible, (Prophesy) of
Isaiah , 4: 1.. In that day, seven women will take hold of one
man and say " We will eat our own food and provide our own
clothes, only let us be called by your name, Take away our
disgrace" meaning one women a day, could be due to surplus
of women or that the marriage contracts will have no meaning
…this is currently becoming a common practice in the western
society. The prophet Mohammed (Peace and Blessing be upon him)
had mentioned that the signs of the beginning of the end will be
" when the slave girl will give birth to her mistress"
…(one meaning) that adultery will be committed and the child
will become a Master and and will not acknowledge her own mother" this is a common
sight at this time.
