'Aishah observed, "How good are the women of the 'helpers' that shyness does not keep them from learning their religion." (Related by "the group," except at-Tirmidhi.)
. .
At the time of the Prophet, one of the mushrikeen (polytheists) said to (the Prophet’s Companion) Salmaan al-Farsi: “Your Prophet has taught you everything, even how to defecate!” Salmaan said: “Yes, he forbade us to face the qiblah when urinating or defecating…” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 16, also reported by Muslim)
Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught us that when entering the toilet, we should say: “Allaahumma innee a’oodhi bika min al-khubthi wa’l-khabaa’ith (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from male and female devils).” When leaving the toilet, he should say: “Ghufraanak (I seek Your forgiveness).”
We should completely remove all impurity after answering the call of nature, using our left hand with tissue and then water. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said as he passed by two graves, "They are being punished, but they are not being punished for any major sin. One of them used not to protect himself (i.e. keep himself clean from) his urine, and the other used to walk about spreading malicious gossip." (Reported by al-Bukhari 5592)
Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that he used to carry a vessel (of water) for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to do wudoo’ and clean himself after answering the call of nature. While he was following him, he (the Prophet) asked, “Who is that?” He said: “I am Abu Hurayrah.” He said: “Get me some stones I can use to clean myself, but do not bring me any bones or dung.” So I brought him some stones, carrying them in the hem of my garment, and placed them by his side, then I went away. When he had finished, I came back and asked him, “What is wrong with bones and dung?” He said: “They are the food of the jinn.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 3571).
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When any one of you wipes himself, he should not use his right hand.” (Reported by al- Bukhaari, 5199). The Prophet’s wife Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to use his right hand for eating, drinking, making wudoo’, getting dressed, and giving and taking things, and he used to use his left hand for other things. (Reported by Imaam Ahmad; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 4912).
Some common ways in the U.S.A. to clean yourself with water after using the bathroom is to use a small plastic cup, a squirt bottle, a small watering can or you can buy a special container made for this purpose.
Henna is a plant that is dried and ground into powder form. The powder is then mixed with liquid and applied to the skin, hair or nails for decoration.

Women are allowed to color their nails with henna as we can see from the hadith:
Narrated Aisha, radhiAllahu'anha, A woman made a sign from behind a curtain to indicate that she had a letter for the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) closed his hand, saying: I do not know this is a man's or a woman's hand. She said: No, a woman. He said: If you were a woman, you would make a difference to your nails, meaning with henna. (Dawoud 1938)
This is but one of the hadith on henna, I will post more at a later time inshaAllah.

Kohl
.
. Muslims are not allowed to get tatoos or give tatoos. This is not to be confused with appling henna although many today refer to henna as a temporary tatoo.
Narrated Aun bin Abu Juhaifa
I saw my father buying a slave whose profession was cupping, and ordered that his instruments (of cupping) be broken. I asked him the reason for doing so. He replied, "Allah's Apostle prohibited taking money for blood, the price of a dog, and the earnings of a slave-girl by prostitution; he cursed her who tattoos and her who gets tattooed, the eater of Riba (usury), and the maker of pictures." (Bukhari 3.440)
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah has cursed the lady who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and the one who gets her hair lengthened and the one who tattoos (herself or someone else) and the one who gets herself tattooed." (Bukhari 7.816)
. .
Removing facial hair is considered changing what Allah, the All-Mighty, has created.
Narrated Alqama, may Allah be pleased with him; 'Abdullah cursed those women who practiced tattooing and those who removed hair from their faces and those who created spaces between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, such ladies as changed what Allah has created. Um Ya'qub said, "What is that?" 'Abdullah said, "Why should I not curse those who were cursed by Allah's Apostle and are referred to in Allah's Book?" She said to him "By Allah, I have read the whole Qur'an but I have not found such a thing. 'Abdullah said, "By Allah, if you had read it (carefully) you would have found it. (Allah says:) 'And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).' " (Qur'an 59.7) (Hadith recorded by Bukhari 7.822)
.
. Narrated 'Aisha; An Ansari woman gave her daughter in marriage and the hair of the latter started falling out. The Ansari women came to the Prophet and mentioned that to him and said, "Her (my daughter's) husband suggested that I should let her wear false hair." The Prophet said, "No, (don't do that) for Allah sends His curses upon such ladies who lengthen their hair artificially." (Bukhari 7.133)
Narrated Said bin Al Musaiyab
When Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan came to Medina for the last time, he
delivered a sermon before us. He took out a tuft of hair and
said, "I never thought that someone other than the Jews
would do such a thing (i.e. use false hair)." The Prophet
named such a practice "Az-Zur (i.e. falsehood),"
meaning the use of false hair. (Bukhari 4.694)
. .
Braiding Hair
. A woman performs ghusl (complete bath) just as a man does, except that if she has braided hair she does not have to undo it, provided that the water can reach the roots of her hair. Umm Salamah said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a woman who has closely plaited hair on my head. Do I have to undo them for ghusl after sexual intercourse?" He said, "No, it is enough for you to throw three handfuls of water on your head and then pour water over yourself. After doing this, you shall be cleansed." (Related by Ahmad, Muslim and at-Tirmidhi, who called it hassan sahih.)
'Ubaid ibn 'Umair reported that 'Aishah discovered that 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr was ordering the women to undo their plaits of hair (for ghusl). She observed, "It is amazing that Ibn 'Amr orders the women to undo the plaits of hair for ghusl. Why doesn't he just order them to shave their heads? I and the Messenger of Allah used to bathe from one vessel, and all I did was pour three handfuls of water over my head."(Related by Ahmad and Muslim.) [personal note: it is forbidden for a woman to shave her head unless of disease, Aishah was making a comparison as to how wrong Ibn 'Amr was saying]
. It is preferrable for a woman performing ghusl (complete bath) to cleanse herself from menstruation or post-childbirth bleeding to take some cotton smeared with musk or perfume and wipe it over the traces of blood. This will remove the bad smell of the menstrual blood.
'Aishah reported, " 'Asma bint Yazid asked the Messenger of Allah about ghusl after menstruation has ended. He said, "She should use water mixed with the leaves of the lote-tree and cleanse herself. Then she should pour water over her head and rub it well till it reaches the roots of the hair, after which she should pour water over it. Afterwards, she should take a piece of cotton smeared with musk and cleanse herself with it." 'Asma asked, "How should she cleanse herself with it?" He said, "Praise be to Allah, she should cleanse herself with it." 'Aishah said in a subdued tone that she should apply it to the traces of blood. (i.e. to wipe over the bleeding part of the body).
Asma then asked about bathing after sexual intercourse. He said, "She should take water and cleanse herself or complete the ablution, pour water on her head and rub it till it reaches the roots of her hair, and then she should pour water over herself." 'Aishah observed, "How good are the women of the 'helpers' that shyness does not keep them from learning their religion." (Related by "the group," except at-Tirmidhi.)
