I'm proud of the way you've grown up.
I admit I still worry at times
because the world has changed alot
since you were a little girl
Many of the choices you've had to make
have been more difficult than those
I faced when I was your age.
I haven't always agreed with your
decisions, but I hope you know that
I respect your courage and independence
in making them. Your doing all you can
to be the person you want to be,
and I admire that.
And remember---
no matter what life brings you
You will always be my Daughter,
and I will always love you.
Sometimes we forget to tell
The ones we love the most
what a difference they make
in our lives
And, Angela even though
the words go unsaid to often
The caring and growing
we've shared make the best
memories

There are only two lasting
things we can
leave our children
one is roots,
the other, is wings.
