SUZAKU CHARACTERS

朱雀の巫女と七星士

Well, I presume most of the info on characters can be found in numerous sites out there, so I'm just going to make some comments about some of them. (May be spoilers here but I mean, it's good discussion ^^)

Ok, so the 2 lovely couples are Miaka 夕城美朱 and Tamahome 鬼宿.
Both characters are fine and have the sweet momments but I think their love story turns into a broken record. Tamahome himself commented that they are always chasing after eachother. 
It started with Miaka yelling how much she like Tamahome and then he rejected her, apparantly 'never had girls chasing after him before' and then it took a while for him to accept it. Then she goes back to her world, came back, then Yui was wanting Tama, so he left Miaka ('to help his country'). 
He was drugged by Nakago and Miaka was sad that he is not himself left. ( I better put bullet points, too many 'thens' hehe LOL)
And Tama got better.
[btw, I'm not complaining but Hotohori gets tangled in this love triangle too]
Lovers united.
Failed to summon Suzaku (BIG SPOILER--heads to 2nd part of story)
Miaka REJECTS Tama cuz she needs to be 'pure' to summon Suzaku (Tama was p*ssed of course but Miaka told him the truth and he was like blah blah,  I'll make u the happiest bride)
(Order of events may be mixed cuz I've only seen the anime once, may fix it another time)
Miaka though Nakago took away her unowat and REJECTED Tamahome
(Soi!! <she's actually a pretty neat character, see Seiryuu-Tachi section> told her Nakago hadn't)
Tama REJECTED Miaka cuz his master told him to  (he was so cruel, kissed Miaka and said 'I can't be with you anymore'--> Jerk)
Miaka told him to met her at the special place...
He got there and she was gone-- made that comment
But the rest of the story gets quite intese, really enjoyable!!
   My point is HOW SILLY this part of the plot is....maybe they're trying to prove that those two weren't meant to be together and there are forces to pull them apart? hmm...

CHICHIRI 井宿 is by far 
THE COOLEST CHARACTER... Now we all know I'm against the OAVs so I'm just gonna ignor that because it ruins a lot of good opinions on the character. (More on the OAV section)
But Chichiri is awesome. His powers are by far one of the best.
He first appeared when he saved Maika from an attack and saved her several more times before revealing himself as Chichiri.
Also Chichiri is like Miaka's mentor, telling her that love can win the battle, that Yui has to try so hard to hate Miaka because she really loves her (as a friend of course) He's just so KAKKOI ^^ And there are several very KAWAII moments!

Hotohori 星宿 is a pretty cool guy, funny in some momments. He only appears more often in the first half of the series, unfortunately. I used to like him heaps but he becomes a bit whiny over Miaka, so apart from that (and also excluding the OAV), he's a neat character. Good looking---HA! "beautiful" LOL

I know there's lots of Nuriko 柳宿, Tasuki 翼宿 fans out there. I suppose they're unique in their own way, along with Chiriko 張宿 andMitsukake軫宿, but my faves are Chichiri and Hotohori... oh yeh, Suzaku is really essential element, the story surrounds the wish to summon him...
