Tackle Bags

Finding the right Tackle Bag is hard to do.If you fish for many species like we do you need something that will carry a lot of tackle.Sometimes when we are fishing the Ohio River for cats maybe the carp, hybrid stripers or even the smallmouth bass are hitting good too.We like to take advantage of any game species if there hitting good or if the cat bite dies.We have had many a days where we catch over 150 fish a day, 12 different species. When we fish smaller rivers though we mostly only need our channel & flathead tackle with maybe some carp gear thrown in for daytime messin around.We have tried all sorts of soft sided bags which we prefer over hard tackle boxes.We can put in all the clear plastic boxes we want and interchange as needed easily.We ended up using the big Shimano brand bags last year and they held a lot of gear, but were rough on our shoulders and sometimes we had to carry extra stuff in our hands.Now we do have backpacks and use them a lot for hiking into remote spots..but again they are limited on what we can carry.We think we have found the answer to all our problems this year with the resent purchase of a European brand carp bag.Its called a RUCKBOX, which is named after thier ruck sacks(back pack) but its a combination tackle bag/ back pack.Its made by a well known brand in England named FOX, its sold here in the United States by a company named WACKERBAITS (wackerbaits.com),located in Chicago, For carp anglers here in the states. This thing stands 26" tall has an internal aluminum frame,6" tall legs to keept it high and dry off the ground, 12 external pockets, monster internal storage and is worn just like a back pack.It has the thickest padding ive even seen on any back pack before for easy of carring and comfort. .The RUCKBOX is sold through WACKERBAITS for $119.99 and cost us $127.50 with UPS shipping and arrived in 4 days.I'll have more pics. in just a short while, so check back soon.
