(Page 1) And last but not least... You Can't Fight Fashion was our fourth and final outing for EMI- America and was engineered and co-produced by the amazing Bob Clearmountain...The single was "My Town" and it exists in close to 100 different city-specific versions. Special thanks to Dave Marsh, who, in his book The Heart Of Rock N' Soul listed "My Town" as the 266th best single ever made ... How he figured that out, l'll never know, but we'll take itl. .. "Hard Time" is still one of my per- sonal favorites (I wish Don Henley would cover it), ""Someone Like You" is my favorite Kevin Raleigh song ever, "'Highlife" is an actual recounting of a twisted flight to Los Angeles, and "'Fire In The Hole" is about a mining disaster (Hey, it worked for the Brothers Gibb)... This was the first allbum for our newest member, lead guitarist Danny Powers and his contributions were immense ...This was to be our last LP for a major label, although we did release another studia LP (Inside Moves) on our own label locally (write to Razor & Tie, and maybe you can convince them to re-release it). We also released Fourth And Ten, a live album recorded at Blossom Music Center in August 1984... Included on this album are two bonus tracks, live versions of "Someone Like You" and "My Town" that originally appeared on Fourth And Ten...Special thanks to Bob Clearmountain for his talent, class and the album title!
