Hey, time travelers...

1984 was a strange year for MSB. We were in the process of
1ooking for a new label, working on a new studio album (which
ended up being "Inside Moves") but, not knowing how long this
label search would take, felt the need to "get something out
there" to let our fans know we were still alive and well.
And what does any band do when faced with a situation 1ike
that? Well, you put out a live album on your own! And for
us, that meant you headed to Blossom Music Center outside of
Cleveland...The result was "Fourth And Ten" (a title that was
sort of a "backs to the wall" metaphor).

The "bonus cuts" here are five writer's demos and are,
recording wise, about as primitive as you can get. In the days
before home studios one way you put down your tunes to play
for the band was to sit down in a living room or hotel room in
front of a "boom-box" and bash away into its little condenser
microphone (Hey, it worked for Keith with "Street Fighting
Man"!)

These tunes have been included to show those of you who care
about this type of thing the journey a song travels from
conception to the final recording. Words may be different
structure may vary, or, as in the case of "Spanish Nights"
they just might suddenly stop (Boredom? Bathroom?...Who can
remember?)

Anyway, here are four tunes that ended up on "MSB" plus a
long-forgotten tune of mine called "And If You Love Her"
