"Spirit of Akron"
Date: 24 November 1999.
Using a photograph in "Hindenburg: An Illustrated History" as a guide, I drew this picture of the Spirit of Akron, also known as the Goodyear Blimp.
On 29 October 1999, Spirit of Akron (GZ-22) crashed into trees near Akron, Ohio. The airship was declared a loss and scrapped. You can read a news story on the crash.
