Nathan Crawls

These photos chronicle our son, Nathan's, journey of healing and recovery after corrective surgery for Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR).  This is a rare congenital heart defect in which the veins from the lungs to the heart do not attach properly to the Left Atrium of the Heart.

NOTE: Some of these photos show a very sick child and may be upsetting, but keep in mind that they tell a story of healing and Nathan is doing very well today.

Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic(CCF) and Rainbows Babies & Children(RB&C).

12/28/2001 14:29 Nathan is about to be transfered from Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital to the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Geoffrey Lane, CCF Pediatric Cardiologist that was present before, during and after Nathan's surgery.  (And is Nathan's follow up Cardiologist, as well.)

Last, but definitely not least, Dr. Brian Duncan, the CCF Cardiac Surgeon that repaired Nathan's heart.
