Withered

Let the mourning begin, as the dust settles down, a life has been lost, another soul has drowned. Who would have thought the end was so near, I stand in disbelief, I shed another tear. Yesterday's forever gone, tomorrow's but a dream, I'm withered, I'm torn, my soul begins to bleed. Dark clouds gather in the sky, darkness falls around I question why. Desecration of innocence lost. Once purity now forever scorn. We now lay him down, six feet below the wet ground. We gather in the eulogy prayer. The sound of sorrow fills the air. Yesterday's forever gone, tomorrow's but a dream, I'm withered, I'm torn, my soul begins to bleed. All heads now hang low, flowers laid before the stone. A gental rain falls to the earth, it all seems so surreal. I don't want to believe it's true, I don't want to see it's you. Now there's nothing left, my life a tradgic death. Yesterday's forever gone, tomorrow's but a dream, I'm withered, I'm torn, my soul begins to weep.
