Episode One: True Lies

Mick talking about his tribe in his confessional

Bulan Heads to Camp-
The Bulan Tribe swiftly made their way across the ocean and in the distance, they could see the red flag that marked the beach they would be living at for the next few days in the game. The eight members of the Bulan Tribe made their way to their beach and, when they finally reached their camp, they began to celebrate and meet with each other. “On the way out to our camp, I could tell that Mick and I would be the two odd ones out,” Karen Hopkins from Bulan said in a confessional. “We are both the two older ones in our tribe and are probably both not as a physically fit as the others. Being the two people out, and because of our age, we immediately bonded.”

The camera pans to Karen whom is talking alone with Mick on the beach. Karen said to him, “Looks like we have got a bunch of fools on board.”

Mick responded to that by saying, “I know what you mean. I'm about to have a heart to heart with Asher.”

Karen continued to say, “Speaking of which, I think we need to make a strategy right now, I mean it's obvious we're the older and more weaker tribe mates.” Karen cooled herself off and decided to start a more friendly and free-flowing conversation with Mick. “So, what do you do for a living?”

“I'm a cattle farmer, how about you?” Mick replied.

“I'm a real estate agent.” Karen smiled at Mick, it was apparent a bond was growing between the two. “So, do you have any kids? I have one myself. His name is Robert.”

“Yeah, I have three girls who actually each have three girls of their own. So, I've got a few children and a lot of grandchildren. So, do you have any future plans or any goals you want to accomplish in your life?”

“I've always wanted to go to Paris,” Karen said. “How about you?”

Matahari Camp Late Afternoon On Day One

“I've always wanted to have the top dairy farm in Ohio,” Mick replied. They both laughed and walked along the beach together continuing their conversation. In a private confessional later, Mick said to the cameras, “I know for a fact that out of all of the knuckle heads on my tribe that I can really trust and relate to Karen. She's a wholehearted and genuine person. I think everyone else would do anything they could to win. I know that Cole, Madison and Emily would do whatever they possibly could to win. Marco and Trinity are two nice people, but I see them associating with the others too much. Asher, on the other hand, is a mix of both. He's nice, but also very sneaky. Not to mention, he is a very feminine man.”

Matahari Heads to Camp-
The Matahari Tribe had much more trouble than the Bulan Tribe did with finding their camp. “Everything was against us when we were trying to find our beach,” Tyler Hargraves from Matahari said. “The wind was blowing in the opposite direction of us, there was a strong undertow, and to top it all off it was unbelievable how incompetent some of my tribe mates were. They couldn't read the map that we were given.” Matahari finally made their way to their beach and even though they were exhausted and tired, there was much joy amongst the eight-tribe members on that tribe. However, that light-hearted mood was soon interrupted by forcefulness and tyranny caused by Tyler. Tyler easily slipped into the vocal leader of Matahari.

“Don't get me wrong, I think Tyler is a nice enough guy,” Kyle said to the cameras, “but it gets old how he keeps thinking that he's this all-mighty leader who thinks that he is the leader of the tribe.” Tyler seemed to have ruffled a few feathers among the Matahari members in the first day of the game. He continued to order people around to start fires, find food and build shelter and the Matahari members didn't appreciate it. “I'm sure he has good intentions, but it's getting old,” Kyle continued. On the first day, both tribes managed to create fire and shelter but food would soon be an issue. Matahari settled down to sleep, but were interrupted by Tyler's incessant, piercing and annoying snoring. The next morning Kyle joked in his confessional, “even in sleep this guy won't stop being loud.”
