Episode Twelve: Advantages

The Lone Ranger

Olivia in a confessional

“In this game, I feel so much less safe than before. Before I was the sweet girl next door that everybody liked and wanted to keep around in the game because, well, I was a great personality to have around camp and wasn’t much of a threat. Now everyone’s getting smarter and realizing I’m a very strong person and because of that they want me out. I worked hard to get a voting alliance to vote out Cole and Mick and now Cole has this advantage where he can pick off any one of us Matahari that he feels that he wants to. I’m so scared because the last few days it seems as if he’s hinting at getting rid of me!” Olivia said in a confessional.

Immunity Challenge
The five Survivors walked onto Challenge Beach to prepare for the Immunity Challenge. They were soon greeted by the two Hosts and saw in front of them five hoop-like bamboo poles. Adam (Host) stepped up in front of the Survivors to tell them about the challenge. “This challenge is a classic game of horseshoe,” Adam told the Survivors. “What you must do is take your hoop and try to make it over the peg across the beach. If you succeed in sinking it on there when noone else is able to, you will win immunity.”

“And, let me remind you that Cole is the only vote at this next Tribal Council,” Chris (Host) said, “So that immunity can be crucial for many of you.” Camera pans to Babette, Kyle and Olivia.

“Survivors Ready? Go!”

All at once the five Survivors threw their hoops to the pegs sticking out of the sand. Babette, Kyle and Olivia (all determined to win) were the three that made it on there. Cole and Mick did not make it on there and thus were taken out of the challenge.

The three Mataharis battled it out for their individual immunity necklace. The next round came and Babette and Olivia were the two who managed to ring the peg. In the last round, Olivia was the one who won immunity.

Day Thirty-Six
A Talk With Cole

Cole in a confessional

“Well, last night Olivia won immunity,” Kyle said. “And now I’m scared that Cole will vote me out instead of Babette so I’m going to go talk with him.” Camera pans to Kyle approaching Cole. Kyle asks Cole, “How are you?”

“I fell great!” Cole replies. “How are you?”

“Worried about tonight,” Kyle says. “Who are you voting out me or Babette?”

“I haven’t decided yet,” Cole told Kyle.

Kyle interrupted Cole: “Please don’t kick me out. I deserve to be in this game so much more than Babette, I mean all she did was mooch off of Cecely and Ruben to get further in the game while I at least tried to better my chances!”

Cole later said in a confessional: “This is absolute comedy! Today Kyle comes up to me and begs me to keep him in, then two minutes later Babette comes up to me and asks me to keep her in and I managed to turn her against Kyle!”

Camera flashes back to the Babette and Cole conversation. “Babette, I don’t know who I’m going to vote for,” Cole told her.

“Well, just make the wise decision,” Babette said.

“Wise decision? I’ll make that for sure! I didn’t get this far making stupid decisions. Are you and Kyle still okay?" Cole asked.

“Yeah, why?” Babette questioned.

“Because a few seconds ago he told me to vote you out and gave me great reason to too!” Cole walked away leaving Babette speechless.
