Episode Two: Surprises

Day Four:
Feelings on Matahari-

Babette in her confessional

It was the fourth day of the Survivors' adventure and the Matahari Tribe had managed to avoid visiting Tribal Council and voting someone out of the game. For the first three days on the island, tensions arouse around camp. Tyler began to get overbearing and hard to live with when he barked orders and commands at his tribe mates. When Tyler realized what he had done, he immediately made a pact with Mark and Harriet (two older members of the tribe) to protect himself and them. As they woke up on the fourth day, Tyler had breakfast prepared and it was a tad bit more appetizing than it was in the past. The Matahari Tribe had a good breakfast and tried hard to avoid confrontation.

Later that day, Babette went to a private confessional and dealt out her feelings on her tribe mates: “Things have been odd around camp lately. In all my experience with watching Survivor and knowing about what goes on in these games I have never seen a tribe get divided so quickly. This is all thanks to one man: Tyler. Tyler doesn't do anything to fit himself into our group. Mark, Kyle, Ruben, Olivia, Cecely, Harriet and I all have fun and love talking and knowing each other while Tyler goes around saying ‘that's enough down time’ and starts barking orders at us to fix something or find food. It's not like we don't help, it's just he always wants to work and do something and he's never polite about asking it.” Babette paused to reflect what she just said. “It's ridiculous how he thinks he can act. Ruben hates Tyler so they are starting to get on each other's nerves. Ruben's going around mocking him and even blatantly saying ‘we need Tyler out.’ I love Ruben, but he is arrogant and annoying at times. Then we have Mark who hasn't been doing too well lately. A few days ago he got sick after eating some of Tyler's breakfast and he has been sick ever since by hacking and coughing and throwing up. So we have Mark (who is weak) and Tyler (who is pissing everyone off) and even just those two people can weaken our tribe for challenges.”

The Four Horsemen

Mick in his confessional

Over at Bulan, Mick was uncertain at what he should to do help himself in the game. After they landed on the island, Mick and Karen were seen as the two older people that were weak and couldn't help out much. However, Mick thought they were safe and that people would be voting for Asher because of the way he never really attempts to participate. In the end, and much to the surprise of Mick, Karen was voted out of the game and Asher remained. Now Mick knew that his talks with Cole about voting out Asher and keeping him and Karen were useless and that he had been lied to. He tried to develop a plan that would keep him around for a while longer.

In a confessional at camp, Mick said: "As of right now, I'm not sure how many more days I have left on the island, winning that immunity was crucial. If we can manage to rack up a few more wins, then I think that maybe I can find a way to split that damn alliance of Cole and Asher's. I think Emily and Madison are behind this too. Actually, the way they've been acting I'm almost sure they're behind it too. Madison, Cole, Asher and Emily seem to be the four horsemen heading for the Final Four. I'll have to have a talk with Marco, and Trinity and maybe we can break that alliance up.”

Food and Water
Matahari had won six days worth of food and supplies in the previous Immunity Challenge, so they were set with ease for a few days, but Bulan was struggling in finding good food. Madison had found a few fruit trees, but there was few fruit on the trees and the fruit itself was a minuscule meal. Cole decided that he had to catch an animal to feed his tribe. Asher and Emily went off to gather water and at the small stream they found, they took a rest and talked about their position in the game. Emily started off with leisurely talk by saying to Asher, “I'm hungry. I could really go for some seafood right now, or maybe some mashed potatoes.”

Asher laughed at what Emily said. “Me too,” he commented. An awkward silence followed that, so Asher decided to break the silence by leading into a chat about their alliance. “Well hopefully we'll find something soon, because I'm starving, or maybe we'll win some food in a challenge or something. We need a reward and immunity, otherwise I may be voted out.”

“No, Asher,” Emily replied. “You're safe. How do you feel about our whole alliance?”

“I think it's pretty solid, I'm not so sure about Cole though, he seems kind of sneaky, but if that gets us to the Final Four then I'm game.”

“I know what you mean,” Emily said. “I thought you wanted him in Final Two though.”

“No, never said that, all I said was we'd vote out Karen, and see where it went. Actually, I'm not sure at this point, I definitely wouldn't take Cole to the Final Two, but then again maybe I could beat him,” Asher said.

“I'm trusting you now. You want to finish this thing off Final Two?” Emily asked Asher.

“I think that's a deal. Who should we get off next?” Asher asked.

“I think Cole said Mick. We'll have to have a discussion later. Let's just concentrate on winning challenges and getting that immunity before we think about any Tribal Councils.”
