Episode Six: Strength and Honor

Day Seventeen
Eavesdropping

Kyle in a confessional

Madison, still determined to dig up dirt on old Matahari members in attempt to get someone on her side, managed to gather information by eavesdropping on Cecely and Babette talk. Madison learned that Cecely, Babette, Ruben and Olivia all had an alliance for the Final Four, but did not include Kyle and Harriet in on their plans as they were both sort of pawns in a voting block. Madison grew excited that she heard this information and immediately had a meeting with Asher and Kyle.

“Kyle we have something to tell you,” Asher told him. “It turns out that your old tribe mates were backstabbing you.”

“What?” Kyle asked, in doubt.

“They were using you to get them further. There was a Final Four plan between Olivia, Ruben, Cecely and Babette and of that you weren’t included in it. You were sort of the pawn in their game.”

“I don’t believe you,” Kyle told them.

“I heard it with my own ears!” Madison exclaimed. “Cecely and Babette were talking, and they said to be sure not to let you or Harriet know that they had that alliance because you all need to be united, but as soon as you got Final Six, you two would be the first to go!”

“That’s where I have this proposal,” Asher told Kyle. “I know that you and Harriet are close, and I think I know where I want this whole game to head. So, I think that perhaps you and Harriet could come on board with some of the Bulan members.”

“Who?” Kyle asked.

“Most likely all of us. Then we can kick out all of the Matahari alliance, then we can boot Mick and we could go on from there, what do you say?”

“I’m not sure. I’ll have to get back to you on this whole thing,” Kyle told him. Later in a confessional, he expressed his full concern in the game. “I know that at this point, me voting with them is the only chance they will basically have at getting a majority vote. I’m not sure if this whole thing with Cecely and Babette is a lie, and that they are trying to use lies to win me over, or if it’s true. I really don’t feel safe siding with them all the way until the Final Six, because that would be just like me siding with the Matahari alliance. I think maybe I can kick out three of the Matahari people to separate that bond and then maybe get Mick, Harriet, myself and that other Matahari alliance member to weaken that other alliance and take it until the Final Four. I’ll have to see if I get some sort of sign.”

Are You With Us?

Madison in a confessional

Now that they think they could have Kyle on their side for the vote, Asher and Madison went up to Mick and confronted him with tribal loyalties. They knew that he could most likely join the other side. “Mick, I need to talk to you,” Asher told him.

“About what?” Mick asked.

“Are you with us for this vote?” Madison asked him.

“Should I be?” Mick snidely remarked. “I mean, you only had this pact going on since the first day of this damn game and vowed to boot anyone in your way. Aren’t I one of the people in that way? Was I invited into a pact? I don’t think so.”

“Look, Mick. That whole thing was just a misunderstanding,” Asher said.

“No, not really. It was a course of action that you took. You voted out Karen and Trinity because of that stupid pact of yours," Mick told him.

“But you were never really wanted to go!” Madison told him. “Our plan was to yes, boot Karen and Trinity and Marco, but it was never intended to be you. We always thought that we’d merge with you and then new friendships could form with you.”

“You know what, that’s bullshit. I mean, anything could happen. We could win immunity and be safe, or we could go to Tribal Council and you’re scared for the sake of how long you last in this game. You can be bullshitting me just to get my vote.”

Asher started getting angry at what Mick was saying and he was being so unreasonable, so he decided it was best to leave that conversation. He told them, “Look, Mick. Think about it!” Asher then walked off.

Madison looked at Mick and said, “Dear, we have majority. Why not ride that as far as you can?”

They left Mick alone standing their, pondering his next decision.

Madison then had a confessional and told the camera, “I’m really scared for what is going to happen because I know that I’m a threat. I know that they all think that I’m some big bitch that would do anything to win this game, but I’m not Cole and I’m not Asher. I wouldn’t do anything to win this game, I just want to make it far with people I like. I don’t really like Babette, I think she’s a spoiled prissy little girl. I don’t really like Cecely, I think she’s too strong. I don’t really like Mick, I think he’s too stubborn. I don’t really like Kyle, I think he’s too naïve, but I have to use some of them to get further for now.”
